It seems that some ITK have been hinting the problem is not football ... it's the school's decision to underfund the basketball program purposely.
I.e. We're now willing float the boat for one (but not both programs) adequately, and we all know where the bread is buttered...
If that's true, then that's something that's not easily remedied with just a new b-ball coach.
It's also likely that top D1 coaching candidates (and their agents) will know about the busing to games, the broken treadmills in melo center, etc.
It's not exactly an enticing job under these circumstances if we're purposely underfunding the program to be less competitive.
