Anyone who is firmly in Hops camp or even in the highest $$ camp needs to watch a bunch of USF replays this year then watch some UW replays when Hop was there. I mean it’s a difference you can’t make up with $15-20 mil.

There are 3 young guys on USF whose pedigree wouldn’t excite you but I would take in a heartbeat when you see how they play and how they are developing and being coached up.

over under 1.5 they say “at least a share of the regular season title” in the last 7 minutes

Doubt she needs an internet interpreter on what you think she meant other than what she actually said. Ironically her point was about disrespect much like your post regarding her.
And completely dismissing the fact that they are colleagues, maybe even very close friends... My gosh your daughter is so kind... No matter what you tried to remain true to yourself... Those things have to count for something. However that is where we Live Today. In the eyes and hearts of those who matter, they do, for sure

A lot of those raw per game numbers really just boil down to USF playing at a high tempo lol.

Think the guy is a very promising coach though and he is the guy I would be targeting.
I don’t see any mind blowing new offensive nor defensive schemes, what impresses me the most is his ability to get his players to execute, share the ball, be so competitive and demonstrate very high basketball IQ as a team, all which is key to success.

he runs an NBA esque offense. It’s simplified, but is highly efficient when you simply have the right players for it. Every guy has the green light which at worse creates space for more offensive rebounds, put backs and driving lanes.

hogsdon won’t dice the other team up like hurley does (hate him btw) but that’s just not the way he coaches.

That’s the key when you look at who is winning today. I mean even Houston with their ridiculous run of success is about effort and execution on both ends.

It’s interesting to me whether a coach can instill these characteristics in the players on his team as a coach OR if it’s a matter of a coach evaluating, when recruiting a player, whether that player is capable mentally, athletically of having those characteristics that he needs for a successful team.

A little of the player evaluation and alot of the coaching IMO. If these players don't play the way he wants them to play or give the effort he wants they go to the bench. If they want minutes they play hard or they get no minutes. Same thing with other high-level teams. You play the way we want you to or you don't play.

It's worth saying - last year, NC State's fanbase essentially forced their AD to hire Will Wade, he admitted that; that's how much noise there was out there.

Yes, the money people matter, but the fans are the heartbeat of a program - it's rare they're all aligned on one candidate, and that's a material point of substance for an athletic director to consider.

This was Autry’s biggest problem IMO. He never got guys to play the way he wanted because he refused to use the bench as a motivator. His NBA predetermined rotation didn’t work in college. Players need the threat of a benching and the reward of paying time.

Hodgson + $30 million NIL.

What avenues did the fanbase use to "force" the decision, and have we been doing the same?

Also, it was said that JW is aware of the support BH has amongst the SU fanbase. Anybody know how much weight that will carry in the decision?

During the USF game, announcers mentioned that Hodgson has Tobin Anderson as a Special Assistant (coached at Iona & FDU and was an Asst at LeMoyne). They also profiled Martin Stockwell who was BH’s HS coach at Jamestown, and is now his Director of Player Personnel.
