Or here is another one...if Red is the coach of Duke, UNC, Kansas, ect...how much worse would they be?That’s fair. I admittedly have a much lower opinion of coaches in general than most. You can’t compare someone just starting out with three transcendent guys. There are far more flops than successes. Hopefully Red turns out to be the latter.
I doubt how serious a national search was if it was truly done. Everything was pretty much a formality that Red would get the first shot.I was told we did do a national search and Red was our top choice still.
They also have Mark Fox on their bench, which is huge. Experienced HC at the at high major level.I'm watching Duke/Kentucky right now. Kentucky had 100% roster turnover and they look so much better than Syracuse and they are playing a very good Duke team. The difference? Kentucky hired an experienced and successful head coach.

You don't really believe that.
I know Waters is beloved in Syracuse but I dont think he really has a high level of basketball knowledge. He can cover a local team well and tell stories with the access he has but I've never thought he makes many great points about the game. Oh well, flame on.
I just meant if you take those teams current rosters, so for example Hunter Dickenson and all the other current Kansas players, and Red was the coach instead if Bill Self, how much worse would they be than they are now? Could Red take a roster like Duke or KU and keep it as a top 10 team? You'd drop Bill Self in the same class as those other two?
I've mentioned this about a half dozen times now but it bears repeating. There was no national search, Red was hired to Keep JB from going thermonuclear/scorched earth when he was forced out. Anyone who believes JB willingly retired and Red was hired after an exhaustive search is woefully uninformed.
Unfortunately I do. Red won't survive a non tourney season much less .500 or worse. The natives are beyond restless and 4 straight years of no tourney isn't gonna fly.
I wish we could find outOr here is another one...if Red is the coach of Duke, UNC, Kansas, ect...how much worse would they be?
Both KY and Duke would be us by 25 or more points. I wouldn't be close
Kiyan or any single recruit is NOT a reason to keep a coach with this resume. Even if we had the #1 class coming in I don’t trust red to get them to gel and approach their potential.Red won 20 games last year. Lets see how the season goes. The actual upside is we have a big and a guard with a ton of ceiling to hit (agree a few others out there aren't up to snuff).
Assuming Kiyan is coming Red ain't going.
You can't get rid of Red this year with the recruiting class he has coming in. You can make him fire an assistant or hire a consultant.Unfortunately I do. STATS!!!How the hell was he all defensive team in the CAA. He can’t guard anyone.
And the second game in Brooklyn. Not to worry, we have Texas and Tennessee up soon...

We spent more on an out of shape center than St John's did for Kadary Richmond. The difference is an NIL gap in the millions.
We did a nationwide search based on the nation’s boundaries in 1776.I was told we did do a national search and Red was our top choice still.
You’re being way to kind. Both KY and Duke would be us by 25 or more points. I wouldn't be close
