Ehhhh, 20 wins were decent but any game against a good team we lost by 30. I mean we were non competitive against any top 25 teams. A year has passed and we forget that we had our doors blown off in a majority of the losses.

We beat UNC, we beat NC State 2x and they went to the Final Four. Oregon had 24 wins for whatever that was worth, Pitt 2x.

JW had to. I think you risk alienating a large amount of the former players if you go outside the JB tree. They always preached family for years…. Add the fact that there was no “obvious” outside candidate. It was JWs safest bet. If he went outside the Cuse circle and it flopped, he would have been fired.

Yeah I hate that we didn't do a national search and would like to think I'd have had the guts to do it but the decision made was clearly a very +EV one for ADJW's career longevity. Take every year that you can get in modern big time athletics.

I’ll give you the UNC win but they also beat us by 40. NC State got hot and went on a run but they weren’t great most of the year. Oregon, solid win. Pitt didn’t make the tourney.

The ACC was weak last year also. The 20 wins was inflated and we were bad. UNC being the outlier for one game.

Yeah I mean it’s all lining up. This year will be a disaster and I think the Kiyan/Saddiq commitments guarantee him 2025. But if 2025 doesn’t go well, it is pretty obvious we will clean house and go outside completely

Eddie's counting stats were great, he was absolutely sloppy though, he was a major reason they had 20+ transition points and Woodward absolutely worked him the last 10 minutes of the game when he actually played. Woodward's 4th is the only reason we won.

Sorry but I don’t see how Lampkin was the reason we got killed in transition when Cox kept running straight through our guard defense constantly straight to the basket. Lampkin wasn’t guarding Cox and the centers don’t lead transition defense from one end to the other. No one could stay in front of Cox even in half court defense and admittedly Lampkin isn’t an eraser with help defense after our guards are beaten. He did his job though with 15 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists and 0 fouls in 34 minutes.

What is scary is that Woodward guy was Colgate’s leading scorer at 15.5 points until our game, so Lampkin did a good job holding him to 6 points and had him in foul trouble. Cox on the other hand was averaging 9.5 points per game and we gave up 21 points to him and JJ fouled out trying to guard him. We’re making opponent’s guards look like all stars going straight to the basket when they play us. That’s a real defensive problem.

100 percent. People don’t realize how much better the ACC is than the big east. Cuse isn’t playing DePaul anymore. And it’s not apples to apples when playing Colgate, but I laugh when people compare Cuse to Duke and Kentucky. I also think people forget how bad this team has been for a decade. A literal decade.

As far as this game goes, it’s simple it’s about toughness and defense. They better fix it or they will have some serious problems. This team needs to wake up and play how they are capable
