Florida and Miami’s classes ranked 75 and 77. Not many classes of over 20. Coaches are clearly saving spots for the portal.

And again, I would bet 3/4 of the kids are from private religious affiliated prep/ high schools. It's an advantage and niche that BC takes every advantage of. Gripe about it all you want but it's there and the roster certainly brings this to light.

Hafley can recruit but agree lets see it on the field. If you are using being better than Syracuse your measure of success well that's a pretty low measuring stick

Agree. Some people are crowning him too fast. If he hadn't got lucky grabbing Jurkovec from ND it would be a 4 or 5 win team. On top of that he inherited NFL lineman and they havent ran the ball that well.

People were saying two years in he’d be in line for a B1G job before he’d even coached a game there. He’s an intelligent guy who does engaging interviews. But it has to translate or he’ll fade.

You were crowning Shafer earlier than that with a worse record. So I’m not sure you pooping on posters who like what Hafley is doing is the best route to take.

BC with Hafley gets the same treatment that Schiano and Rutgers gets from Dohn. That's why there is such a large disparity in ranking.

If you look at their classes individually, it's hard to find a lot of impact players. I see kids who have inflated rankings when you consider their high school stats and offers.

I would be really interested in seeing a breakdown of how many HS kids signed LOIs for this early signing period compared to past years.

I suspect the numbers are down by 25% or so.

Thinking a bunch of kids who would normally get scholarships to low P5 schools or FCS schools are going to end up at D3 programs or JUCOs.

And then there are all the kids in the portal who are going to end up in worse situations that they started from. I bet that ends up being over 50% of the kids that went into the portal.

There is a price to be paid for that freedom kids already in college now have. God knows how many fans this whole thing has turned off. Based on this board alone, there are quite a few.

I hope this ends up being a good thing for the players.

BC fans certainly aren't in love with the guy either. Same results as Dazzler just with more glitz and glitter. Reminds me of one of the new NFL coach whiz kids who come from the Sean McVay tree, many of them are solid coaches but at the end of the day it's about winning games not pom poms, unbridled enthusiasm, positivity, sound bites, social media and winning press conferences.

I think we’re in the middle of an adjustment period for coaches, players, and fans.

I think it will settle down and/or we’ll get used to it.

Dino did about as good as we could expect. He kept the 10 kids out of 12 that originally verbaled. He brought in a punter who cant be any worse than what we had last year. The late DL LB and CB all look solid.

Its too bad we missed on the RB as we really need another one or two there and hopefully he lands a couple of game ready DL and a stretch WR before the spring. We need another dozen players just to fill out the roster.

Interesting that Pitt and Wake are 12th and 13th, how can they be any good with recruiting like that? They don't have top 30 classes!!!

If he can pull in a solid RB and add some beef on both lines we can be competative. A true number 1 WR would be a blessing but i think we can get by with the current group. Same with the OL another game ready kid would be great but we should be ok.

We are super thin at RB and very light at DT too me those are the areas that need the most help

I think they're nuts. They just signed one of their best recruiting classes (I had looked it up earlier too, and it doesn't look like it's majority catholic HS kids).

Jurkovec's injury hurt them this year. But next year, they'll have a more capable backup. That freshman that played against us looks like he has the tools, just needed more time.

That Wake finale was a real dud, but there was word of 32 players with the flu that week, including Jurkovec.

Maybe Hafley is a terrible gameday coach, who knows. But they'll get to find out with a good amount of talent playing. I wouldn't mind being in their shoes.
