Isn't there still space in the old Kennedy Square plot?

Found the shower water pressure to be lacking, but this is a bit extreme.
City needs some nice hotel space close to campus.
100%.There's going to be a lot more of this. Kids don't want to go $100K in debt to get a no-name college degree and not be able to get a job afterwards. Kids are getting smarter. I could see 25% or more of small colleges closing in the next 10 years. It would literally be a smarter move for them to use that money to buy a house in their 20s (while they're single) and get a job in the trades, where eventually you can be your own boss and own your own business.

How the loss of 2 major hotels could prevent Syracuse from hosting NCAA Tournament games
The Sheraton Hotel on the SU campus is being converted into a dorm, while the Crowne Plaza hotel might turn into a residential building.www.syracuse.com
This is a strange narrative that's gotten traction - the loss of hotel rooms will cause a loss of an NCAA.
No, how about this: Syracuse University's unwillingness to bid to host NCAAs will prevent Syracuse from hosting NCAAs. They haven't bid in years and to the best of my knowledge aren't planning to do so in the near term.
For some reason, I attributed SU not bidding to all of the construction happening at the Dome. I assumed once the major things were done, they'd hop back into bidding. That being said, they control one of those two major hotels and decided to do away with it - fully knowing the impact that would have on something like hosting the NCAA tournament - so maybe they are officially out of that game.

Director paid his dad $200K over 3 years for occasional snow plowing, with no contract or job description.
When did literally EVERYONE get so damn corrupt?
True. We had very little snow to even plow. My plow guy comes if there is 3 inches + of snow - plowed 4 times this past season. It usually was melting shortly after it fell too. The year before we paid for 6 times. Paid him a bonus to just keep him for next year. This past season we had 47 inches of snow all 2023-2024 season. Our average snowfall for the past 18 seasons has fallen from well over 100 inches to 83 inches. The past 5 seasons, we’ve averaged just 66.7 inches.I doubt that contract would be worth $200k even if it were double the length. Wild.
I think the guy I hired came maybe 6 times this year, about the same as last year. Not a bad gig for these guys the past few years for sure.True. We had very little snow to even plow. Yes if they are paid for the season vs per plow. I paid per plow.I think the guy I hired came maybe 6 times this year, about the same as last year. Not a bad gig for these guys the past few years for sure.
That is the way to go for sure, I think I'm going to go that route next yearYes if they are paid for the season vs per plow. I paid per plow.

Is it bad that at this point, the only reason I open these articles is to see what they are tearing down now?

9-story apartment building proposed near Syracuse University
The building would contain 47 apartments, be a five-minute walk from SU and offer just six new parking spaces.www.syracuse.com
