It's just crazy...our grids are already strained, rates are expensive...and we're just letting all these data centers get built for AI over ordinary people.

I had heard recently that a number of data center proposals for the region had been denied due to concerns about significant energy consumption without much payback (e.g. job creation). Surprised to see this one seems to have support from the county…

This needs to get shot down. No benefit and power bills go sky high and they are already high enough.
