Yes they do. They don't have traditional stand at the end of the line and be an extra OL size, but they have TE size. There have been NFL recieving oriented TEs that were about the same size. Not everyone can be Gronk.

I’m not sure how you can say we are “very very deep in the slot” when we got next to nothing from that position the previous season. I get that we have what appears to be capable guys at the position but they haven’t done squat in a single game yet.

anything on Queeley or Barron on the outside? Taj is a proven commodity and Ed’s going to get run if he’s healthy imo. Ideally the incoming skills guys redshirt but I was pretty surprised watching Barron’s tape at wide receiver with the grabs he was making above coverage, my original thought was the same as everyone else. TE. But he’s a wideout

My regard for Dawson has gone up some, he at least declared his intent from the onset. Anyone still not relaying their intent to play this season at this point seems to be letting Team, coaches, and teammates dangle in the wind imo...

Maybe the team asks them not to disclose until after the first game.

The average NFL tight end by the numbers is 6'4" and 254 lbs. We are talking about underclassmen that aren't really even full grown nor have they really been in a true S&C program for very long.

Their size is pretty good for how we use the tight end in this offense. If we had a kid out of HS that was NFL size and had Benson's speed...he wouldn't be coming to Syracuse.

Yeah I agree. I think Dino planned to let that slip and put the onus on the players. On another topic I don't by the keep teams guessing thing by hiding personnel. I don't think our RB's are keeping anyone awake.

not being disrespectful but generally it matters not what he says. there are things he can and cannot control. results are what matters to me. he has been mediocre at best and i am a dino fan. this year imo there should be no season. in any event he gets a pass if they do play. he has another two years to improve recruiting and win, otherwise we need to move on.
that said, he has to navigate uncharted waters with the team, and societal inequities/injustices that evoke a visceral response as well as a personal concern for health and well being due to covid.----not a position i would like to be in. with all thats going on he has to get these YOUNG MEN, ready to play football???? that a tall order.

I expect to see JJ shine at RB this year. I think a slimmer quick RB will be better for us, allows him to get through the minimal sized holes we open up with our line. It might become the JJ show and Adams and Howard might be left in the dust...

I am guessing if Adam sits out he is going to try and make the jump. Howard may return to a diminished roll like you stated. I think it’s a big gamble for both of them.

I wonder if they are taking a wait and see approach with the Oline? Maybe they are sick of getting hit behind the LOS every run and want to see if the Oline can gel into a decent unit.

As long as these guys make their own decision we shouldn’t care. Plus Jordan was the guy last year who was electric and had the entire board making sure Dino didn’t play the last games to keep his redshirt.

I like Howard but if he opts out it’s cool.
Adams is probably going to attempt to go pro we should all wish him the best and nobody complain.

This team didn’t get spring practice. This team isn’t the most talented team in the conference. Our recruiting this year appears better. This season is a bonus. As long as they don’t go 2-8 or something like that this season should have no expectations.

It’s more than carrying the ball. It’s not fumbling, picking up the blitz, etc. Not having our two best and most experienced backs overall is not great.

Then again, I’m about as fired up for this charade as I would be for 10 spring games, so who really cares.

I think with these practices Dino can work on the blitz pickup calls with whomever is left.

I am not going to be upset any of these kids are opting out. I don’t think Adams or Howard are as electric as Jordan. I would love to have all 3 just to rotate and keep them all fresh but if Howard and Adams want to opt out I say good for them. The local Athletic guy IMO will spin them opting out into some story to spin a negative story towards Dino but I honestly don’t think anyone has a problem with any player opting out of this weird season.
