Future Campus Framework Discussion

My understanding is it moves for basketball.
At one point I had provided screen shots from structural drawings that would have shown this...but then they ended up on Nunes' twitter feed so...unfortunately I will not do that again.

Why does that matter?

My understanding is it moves for basketball.
This is accurate. It will hang over the center of the field for football and lacrosse games, and move directly over the center of the court for basketball games. This will be an easy thing to do and will be done electronically.

At least that is what I was told.

From today's D.O.: "The design for the new Carrier Dome roof is complete, and the university is working with the city to get a permit for construction, Sala said. He said steel installation for the roof is scheduled to begin in fall 2019. The actual roof replacement is expected to begin in March 2020 and be completed by September of that year. "

Hopefully the basketball team snaps out of its funk and is solidly on the good side of the bubble next season. Because if it's an NIT year, they're going to have to hit the road.

the city better not play games and delay that permit.

So, we're back to "Carrier Dome"? Or is that a DO oversight?

oversight...
Seems like it. I defer to Shandeezy/OttoMetts and company on these issues because they're local (and far more versed than I am). But I haven't heard "Carrier" mentioned by the AD in over a year.

EDIT: Jr., OttoMetts says you're the man (high praise). So I'll look for your posts from here on out in this thread.

On SU's Campus Design, Planning, and Construction website, they refer to the project as "Stadium." So I'm inferring that Carrier's not in SU's good graces right now and the DO slipped up.

JR's in the know for sure.
