Future Campus Framework Discussion

The Syracuse.com article says Southwest corner of the intersection so I assume it is the University North and University South season ticket holder parking lots. Losing more tailgating space near the dome:(
I am in North...or I was...

You're correct the SW corner is the highlighted lots. Hopefully they leave the Harrison Lot alone...I heard it has some good groups there
There are. The Harrison lot gets a good tailgate crowd. I have been in the lot (UNVN) where the hotel is going. We have used it for about 10 years and will miss it and not sure where we will move to. We like being in UNVN as it is fairly lowkey and not crowded. I won't miss turning left onto University Ave out of the lot after the games though. Traffic control is abysmal there... choke point.

There is a solution to this.

SUNY Forestry needs to relocate to South Campus.

Let's do a land swap. We take their campus and use it to build a second quad, and add some parking. Use some of the existing parking to expand the campus further. Can finally expand the dome on the north and south sides and make it a world class facility.

ESF takes over most of the South Campus Skytop area. They get a bunch of much needed space and the room to expand they desperately need. The stumpies can plant lots of trees and do their pagan tree worshiping dances in privacy.

Win win for everyone.
Man what do you have against trees? I like the idea but sounds like you had a bad breakup with a stumpie back in the day.

So where would people using the hotel park, if not in that Harrison lot?
I assumed the hotel will have its own parking lot on its site. I think the site is large enough for the hotel and its parking. Would be poor planning to make customers park across the street from the hotel.

I like trees and stumpies. It was just a joke.

It might be in the best interests of both schools though to consider a land swap.

ESF is bottled into a small space between the SU campus and Oakwood Cemetry.

They have no room to expand. It has to be really limiting to them.

Who owns this?

I know - just giving you a hard time.

I still don't see why building on the west side of the dome was ruled out because of the slope. There is plenty of space there.

They need dorms badly. the housing situation sucks.

Why be angry.. it is how it is turning out... no parking.
Unlike BC we have a ton of parking on South campus that is centralized and where you don’t have to pay $250 a game to tailgate. Honestly, it may be a better experience if they made everyone park on south campus and tailgate there. I get the buses aren’t “fun” to take up to the Dome, but the atmosphere is no where near as horrible as BC’s.

Edit to add. I went to my first game at BC this year. Absolutely, the worst venue I have ever been too.
