Georgetown Post Game

The class is not even remotely close to good enough to justify keeping an incompetent coach around. It's good but overhyped on here as usual. None of the commits are as good as Donnie is.

This was only the 2nd game I've watched this year as my give a crap meter has cratered to a level below anything I ever thought possible. Was fun for about a 15 minute span in the 2nd half. I'm sad about everything having to do with what was far and away my single favorite sporting entity my whole life.
Thank god for football

If it's that bad, I expect decommitments and an even worse-looking 2025-2026. SU should take a close look if things crater to that level. Our best current pieces would probably portal out as well.

Kiyan and Sadiq are still kids physically and will struggle mightily against older & stronger upperclassmen (i.e., grown men). Both are great prospects, but people really need to temper their expectations.

If it wasn’t Melos kid I think people would agree wrong you.

The idea that next year‘s team is going to be better because of the freshmen class is kind of misguided. I don’t think we can expect either of those kids to be as good as Donnie is right now.
Not to mention Red hasn’t exactly distinguished himself in the portal/talent evaluation.

At this point I would be shocked if Freeman or even Moore is back (if it were you would you come back when you can win and make more money elsewhere?)

Watching Carmelo’s son waste away on a terrible team would take me to new and yet undiscovered level of sad. It would be hard to find a worse coach and as Fran has proven, the right guy can be an injection of excitement and enthusiasm.

I would feel bad for him, except for the fact that he doesn’t hustle and just watched a key loose ball and jogged back on defense. But nobody holds him accountable.

Don’t confuse feeling bad for a kid who doesn’t dive for loose balls vs feeling bad for a kid who has some mental hurdles that at times appear debilitating. It’s not common to see kids in sports openly beat themselves up the way he does. The shooting rut he’s in will be hard to climb out of. That’s the stuff I feel bad about. Everything else is on the coaches.

Very frustrating game and very frustrating post game: Cuse.com seems to be down, (I like their box score and play-by-play) and the ESPN Syracuse post game on Twitch is also non-functional.

Both are back now. That and the Spectrum outage earlier in the days meant that this was not a day where much was working well.

I was only able to watch the first 12 minutes cause we are getting ready to host a party. Guess I didn’t miss anything new.

I agree with almost everything being said that’s critical of coaches and players. The fanbase rightfully so is not going to forget the stink of this game with Autry and Bell.

Despite this nightmare If we just make free throws at a 85-90% clip we would have won against Texas, ND, and today and be sitting at 8-2. 63 free points not counting front ends left behind this year.

So if we were the number 1 team in the country in FT%?
