I think the argument atm is more, should Woody/Ajax split another 8-15 of Girards minutes.
One thing were not factoring is how many more points our defense gives up with Girard up top when comparing him to Woody the last three. Woody's net points are double on top of that. Give me Woody's three that was half way down today, and the one that he short rimmed over any of Girard's other 5 misses today. How many transitions are taken away because of length, extra sprint, and verticle height to the rim? On the other hand Girard had 6 of our 16 assists today.
The other thing is, will Dolezaj pick up 3 fouls at center that he might not pick up anywhere else on the floor? Is Ajax for a 10 minute stretch in the first half really that much worse than Girard offensively while rotating Woody, Dolezaj, Guerrier and Griff. Dolezaj had 1 rebound every 9 minutes today, and Our defensive rotation was atrocious for 75% of the game, and he is our best rotator. For playing our best five for the first 10 minutes, we had 10 points today.
