I would think the Texans OC position (with CJ Stroud as your qb) is a huge step up from the Syracuse OC position. If offered I'm not sure why he wouldn't take it.

I mean they have a stud young QB and a good HC. Not a bad gig at all. Does he want to be a NFL HC, I assume so. He should def take that job, even with his son and daughter at Cuse.

I guess I'm saying aligning the stars to get his kids around for at least a year, he'd have to really want that job to pass that up. Is there enough there? There might be. I would be a little surprised.

That's the hope, right? Another good year and he will have a lot of great opportunities. But, these are good opportunities now. I really hope we get at least one more year.

It's 2 to 4 x the pay and a direct line to becoming a head coach in the NFL or a solid college program. If offered he will accept. You don't interview for NFL coordinator jobs, get offered and decline.

Absolutely, he can cash in now or bet on himself. I honestly don't know what I would do. Maybe we can give him a raise, enough to help him bet on himself.

Yeah this would be an opportunity you go for. Stroud is a generational talent. It would be rather intriguing to see what he and Stroud can do. I really believe Nixon has one of the best offensive minds in football. The way we moved the ball last season was innovative.

I see what you’re insinuating. That would be something you couldn’t script up. We lose our OC to Ohio State because he helped develop McCord into a greater QB that a good amount of the OSU fan base lost faith in.

That piece doesn’t note that Klubiak took the Seattle job. If Chip says no, this could really go to Nixon.

For sure, this is an amazing opportunity though. For an OC, to have an opportunity to work with CJ Stroud. That’s a dream.
