This last film was nice a movie but it wasn’t a Star Wars film.

That's what I'm saying, 2 years to IX, then say 3 years to RJT1 then 2 years to RJT2, 2 years to RJT3, then a couple years to episode X with the characters I mentioned. Roughly 10 years.

No. I am only speculating. Would make sense to let these actors age a little and then come back to them.

Comparing the 2 just loses credibility.
ESB had good plot lines and reveal at the end is legendary.
TLJ had none of that.
I mean c’mon. Don’t go there. I can probably find reviews which call TLJ the best Star Wars movie of alltime it doesn’t mean it is.

The one thing that article does get right if nothing else, is the immediate reaction thing. If Empire had been terrible, so what? We would have been no more disappointed then we were with AOTC or Batman Forever. We walk out, and say “that was a waste of money” and go on with our lives. On to the next one. If you hate TLJ, cross your fingers, and on to the next one. Why can’t people just move on? Find something else to do. Don’t like a show? Turn the frickin channel!

If you are unhappy with these films, be unhappy. Today, everyone wants to get involved, and beat their chest, and say “I don’t like the new Star Wars movie, and you’re going to do something about it!” Like the petition. Just dumb.

Everyone needs to spout off about every little thing in life. Literally everything from the President, to the #metoo movement, to Star Wars. Maybe we should have a MILLION STAR WARS FAN MARCH on capital hill, and wear our cloaks, and our leia buns, and make stupid-ass signs?

I just don’t get the outrage. It’s a movie. I’m a huge fan, always have been. But if I’m ever disgusted with the franchise, I’ll pick up a hobby or something. Not spend my life complaining about it or trying to change it.

I don’t think my criticism has been that strong.
I just didn’t like the plot. I said the franchise will go on.
People leaving the theater after ESB were shocked learning Vader was Luke’s father. How anybody could say that movie was a waste isn’t a Star Wars fan to begin with.

You said SW shouldn’t be polarizing. The article proves otherwise. The prequels prove otherwise. Ewoks prove otherwise.

TLJ is the highest rated SW film on Rotten Tomatoes.

You might want to look at your wording. You stated that you thought the movie was ok but the majority of your comments were extremely negative in its wording. Hard to come away with you being ok with it.

The plot was garbage.
I don’t believe Rey’s parents are nobodies or Star Wars really screwed up 7-9.

Snoke is done.
Until the Disney cash grab animation series.

The plot was not worthy of a Star Wars movie.
The first order chasing the Resistance.
And Rey-Luke were the storylines.
Horrible for a 2.5 hour movie.
Rose and Finn’s side adventure was a waste of time.
The Leia space scene was just absurd.

The plot was amazingly thin.

My god this stuff is ridlicious.
The movie tried talking about arms dealers and that scene in a casino made the issue a big joke.
Okay now I don’t like Rian Johnson if his cause was this message.
No males are allowed power for the next 246 years till it’s even.

This idea was stupid.
Also if there ever was a way to get rid of Leia her sacrificing herself in that ship was the easy way out to kill her off.
Why they wanted to kill off Luke and not Leia as well was questionable.

I mean that plot was thin.
Snoke was a joke. They didn’t even say if he was a Sith or just not.
Rey is not close to as interesting as Luke from IV-VI. This episode VIII didn’t really tell us much about her as I refuse to believe her parents are nobodies or truly the franchise loses A LOT of credibility for making her the focus of this trilogy.
Finn shows the writers didn’t envision him as part of this trilogy beyond the first one as his story was thin again and they forced his story in 8 very poorly.

The plot of Episode VIII is the First Order in a half assed measure trying to finish off the Resistance. The Empire could have done more that storyline just dragged on to carry the length of the movie.

Rose/Finn just does nothing for me and then went half assed preachy on that casino planet.

Disney doesn’t care they will commercialize the hell out of it and make their money but Rian Johnson failed and I liked him on Breaking Bad he directed Ozymandiius the best episode of the show IMO.

I don’t care that much they went where they did as it’s just a movie but the franchise luster loses steam with these movies under the same barrier. Can’t wait for them to have Lando in Episode IX and find a way to kill him off.

Kylo didn’t have much background in the first movie. It was ridlicious Rey with no training was able to be as successful as she was against a trained by Luke and Snoke Kylo Ren.

However I wouldn’t say these movies are about the Skywalkers.
Luke and Leia were barely in the first one.
This one they made Luke a whiny Emo and Mark Hamill said he did his job but wasn’t a fan where they took Luke.
