Mean Something?

Yeah it probably means he’s going to play in it, I’ve been saying all along I think he’s going to. I also think he’s coming back next season too. That I’m not as sure, but I definitely think he’s playing in this bowl.

Garrett Williams has the same post in his Instagram.

It's Social Media. Never interpret too much into it.

This discussion (and the broader one across the cfb landscape) makes me wonder my NILs aren’t tied to “healthy participation” in bowl games or however you’d phrase it. Obviously, value of NILs would go up but think what everyone gets out of it would be more meaningful.

I am not sure you can do it that simply. Maybe.

I don’t think there’s a remote chance he’s back next year………
I know that, I was thinking about the possibility of him playing at Yankee Stadium. I had been thinking probably not.

Yeah wasn’t responding to you:

I think it’s 50/50 if he plays in pinstripe

It’s 100% he’s gone for next season, I know David really wants him to come back

But Tucker will either enter the NFL or transfer

He will not be back at Syracuse.

Don’t think it would be his decision either

I was just reading how Georgia needs a RB for next year... if you are Tucker why wouldn't you go to Georgia and contend for a natty? or go pro. Not sure what playing another year behind a mediocre o-line not getting paid big bucks gets you.

He's not coming back for sure and is very likely to opt out.

It’s what Kenneth Walker did (not the natty part but showcasing himself). Yeah, that’s the logical move if not up for leaving this year

Umm...what do you mean by that? Whose decision would it be for him not to return if its not Tuckers?

The world has become a lot more egocentric since I was a kid. Opt outs weren’t banned 30 years ago. players honored their school and their teammates, didn’t give it a second thought.
Maybe it's ego, but I also think it's cynicism. Many of these players view their relationship with a college as transactional and believe that the player is getting the raw end of the deal.

So when it comes to the NFL and prepping for the draft/graduating in December, they just decide based on what's best for their earning power and don't worry about the team. As an old dude, it sucks because being part of a team is a sacred thing in my mind. BUT, I can't blame someone for trying to protect their investment (their body) when they are abusing it on a weekly basis for free (essentially).

I liked what Timonen said above about tying NIL's to healthy participation in bowl games. I wish it wouldn't have to come to that, but it might be a good way to get more players to participate in something that should be an incredible experience for anyone involved.
