According to Rothstein, Moyer is still a redshirt candidate. Has anyone heard any more about this?
Would like to see it. Some are excited by the prospect of playing 10 guys, but I expect it to be a functional 8 man rotation in conference play.
I don't think it is about PLAYING 10 guys so much as ONLY having 10 guys. Tough to redshirt under those conditions. Might be a different story if we had 11 or 12 or 13 players on the roster.
Why make the decision before you have to make the decision? Wait as long as possible.

I think you have to make the decision out of the gate, if he doesn't play in the early season games in order to retain the flexibility you'll get into the part of the schedule where JB isn't going to give the 10th man developmental minutes and then if there is an injury and you need him he won't have enough minutes under his belt to be useable.
Now if its a question as to whether he'll be healthy enough to play, then I guess its a different story.
He had an injury. I think under those circumstances you can play up to either 7 or 9 games.
if he redshirts and eventually goes the 5th yr route, I'll blame this thread
He could be eligible for a medical redshirt after participating in as many as 30% of the teams games, none after the halfway point if he was injured at that point. I don't think it works if you had an injury play 1/3 of the games then decide to redshirt based on the original injury.
Ha! True enough, except there are people who think it's our government's business. I just got back from North Carolina yesterday and people are hopping mad at the Governor's "bathroom bill" NOT because of the ethics but because it took away ACC championships from the state. That was a bridge too far!! I think he will not be re-elected.If Moyer wants to be a , that's none of my business.

If we're serious about pressing, he becomes more valuable.I am not a betting man but I would wager that he will be red-shirted this season. With the depth we have I just can't envision him getting any sort of meaningful minutes once we start ACC play.
