I have a question for the Lebron followers, but why do people automatically assume someone hates Lebron if they are not rooting for him? I hear this all the time, and honestly it gets old. Can't someone root for the other team? Do you have to hate Lebron to root for the other team? It's the most repeated thing I hear over and over...
I agree, it can be a boy who cried wolf scenario sometimes. I'm probably guilty of it or atleast give off those vibes more than I realize.
He does/says a lot of corny stuff. I cringe at some of his press conference comments but I don't really care if people hate him or not. I love watching him play, everyone says he's a great teammate, and he's never really done anything off the court to make me think he's a bad person.
Personally, I only say it when you get people who think because they preface what they say with "I'm not a LeBron hater but..." and then make 5 posts in a row taking petty, exagerrated or passive agressive shots about him or whatever team he is on that match the preceding few posts doing the same. It's like if you don't like the guy just say it. No need to try and put up some guise to hope people take your comment more seriously. I was never a Kobe fan. If I ripped him to people or hated on him I'd just own it.
Now, I don't like Curry. He annoys me. I'm a Curry hater. I own it. I think until this series he was coddled by the media and made out to be this innocent humble underdog. Nothing about him is that. He is a 6'3-6'4 point guard with unreal quickness. Grew up the son of a millionaire NBA player and former D1 athlete as a mom. Hung out in NBA locker rooms growing up and shooting around/playing with the best players in the world and every other financial/athletic advantage you could think of. Loves showing up his opponent every chance he gets, which is fine but I don't get the double standard in how everyone gives him a pass for it. I'm a hater.
Also, when it deteriorates to a point where someone becomes unable to have an objective conversation then I just stop taking them seriously and have some fun with it.
