ND Postgame Discussion

I hope you never criticize anyone else’s performance at a job anywhere. These coaches aren’t infalliable gods. What’s wrong with saying that our WR’s have been bad minus OG?

Unless someone is a quitter no, if they're incompetent they should get fired (and my fault for hiring them).

This wasn't our best game. It happens.

Don’t think anyone should be fired. Just think wide receivers aren’t showing effort that justify them retaining significant snaps.

It hurts Whichever QB is in and the whole team. At least Devin Butler laid blocks. Some of these guys unfortunately are just non factors

Couldn’t see the game, I only got ESPN drive updates. Tucker did nothing. Again.

My assumption with Allen is that he is too small at the moment and goes down easy when hit. Also possibly not adept at pass blocking, hasn’t played enough for me to tell. Can’t believe we don’t have a #2 that can pass block and be called upon for more than a play at a time. Another head scratcher for this year.
Tucker wasn't bad today, at all.

Bad is generous. Atrocious is a better word.

Guys, we’re not going 6-6. Put me in QB1 against BC and we’re getting the W. Question is, we sticking with CDRW for a bit or is Garret coming back? Our offense is centered around GS right now.

garret needs to get better.
At this point his ankle will heal on its own. Give him a few weeks off it needed. If he can't run, he shouldn't be playing

I'm not worried about Pitt if we put up 4 quarters of competent offense. Can't win if don't. That's why we lost at Clemson and today at home. It's hard to say what is causing the offensive woes. I thought it was Anae, but CDRW came in and executed.
Its injured Shrader and Tucker.

I think Hatcher and Adam’s need to play more, Jackson and Vaughn need to play less.

And if I’m wrong about this, how would anyone notice?
I'm with you, but who's Vaughn?

Ricky Vaughn?

Hatcher was a positive. You notice when he's out there. Unlike some of our WRs that play a lot of snaps.

Hatcher’s high point almost catch was a thing of beauty. He’s an inch away from that being inbounds.

The drop he had I give him a pass for this game. That was a tough, but definitely make-able catch. Heck of a throw by CDRW.

ND fans on Reddit were very upset about the refs today.

Syracuse only had 3 penalties which does seem low for what we usually do.

We had our GW and GS go out to make up for any non calls.

This is where I am. I’m excited about CDRW, but I’m fine if GS hold the starting job, as long as he’s 100% healthy.

If he’s not, then CDRW should go. If he performs really well, then coaches are paid to make decisions.

Love what I saw today.

Shrader’s decision making on read options has been awful. He keeps the ball way too much and when he should keep it, he hands it off. He’s def battling some sort of owie as well.

I don't give him a pass for the deep drop. He short armed a perfect throw. That's a ball that has to be caught. Maybe he was nervous though. Hopefully he finishes those going forward.
