ND Postgame Discussion

I don't give him a pass for the deep drop. He short armed a perfect throw. That's a ball that has to be caught. Maybe he was nervous though. Hopefully he finishes those going forward.
Drop was bad, but he's also the only guy we've had all season actually get that open on that route, so I'm willing to see more of him.

If they can beat Pitt, we should get over 43k for FSU at least imo

Today was a royal kick in the nads for attendance. It plays right into the local and national perception that we will always fail. You just can't underestimate the air out of the balloon effect with this program IMHO. The fans have responded this year but today really really hurts. To the casual fan this is same old Cuse.

I mean this was the same old cuse.

The casual fan sounds like a real wet blanket.

I like having the whole section to myself. The WIFI works a lot better when the seats are empty.

If this team starts competing for ACC/National Championships every season, my 20 years of solitude might come to an end.

and can anyone comment on wifi connectivity ? My brother kept saying his connection was going in and out all game. Curious. Thxs.

For the first time ever I now had Wi-Fi in 332. Didn’t realize it towards the end of the game. This is the first time this season it’s worked in my section, so happy about that.

Same thing we all heard if nc state beat us but they didn’t. We were picked to be last in our division. This loss stings but means nothing unless the team folds. I don’t think they do. Screw the casuals and national pundits. I’m good with 10-2, 9-3, 8-4. It’s progress and if the casual fan can’t see that, screw ‘em.

Today sucked. But I have to center myself by remembering that preseason expectations by most, myself included, were that we hoped to make a bowl. If you had told me on August 15th that we’d go 8-4, I’d have been ecstatic.

I think “casual” fans have unrealistic expectations. But I also think this program has an uncanny ability to come out flat in big home games on national TV, and we don’t get enough of those to squander opportunities. The narrative won’t change until the results do.

I was wondering about that. Have we seen Shrader throw that type of pass all year. He's gone deep, but not along the sideline trying to hit a guy in stride. I'm curious if guys haven't been getting open or if that is a ball Shrader isn't as comfortable throwing. Maybe others here have a better memory and can correct me if I'm wrong.

So just to be clear, we don't want the "casuals" and would prefer just the 35kish die hards? Because I've read complaints about poor attendance on here for years.
Aren't there more than 35,000 people that like football and not just overpriced food and beer?

With regards to attendance, what was up with the corner in the 300's that was completely empty? I noticed it midway through the 1st quarter and then again toward the end of the half. I'm not sure they showed it on TV again after that.

Any chance we think about moving an OL to nose tackle?

Darton has been great and should be used all over the line.

I tried to access the board here to see how awful the comments were and all i got was no internet connection

They've definitely tried a few times, but I don't think we've ever hit them.

Part of it is timing. By game 5 or so in good years we finally start to get national attention. Unfortunately this happens to coincide with us being beat up without depth.

Couldn't tell ya. Do we want the stands full or not? Seems to be complaints either way.

Student section. Happened vs nc state as well. They should open those up to the public if they can’t fill it which they are proving they can’t.

I've seen them where they were contested with both the WR and DB going up for it, but I can't remember anyone running under one with an over the shoulder catch.
