Not really, I'm just a firm believer in the innocent until proven guilty thing.
Um, what country do you think this is?

New to the country?Let’s get the full facts here...
innocent until proven guilty...not guilty until proven innocent
Syracuse football defensive back Cornelius Nunn arrested on gun charge
Freshman defensive back Cornelius Nunn was arrested on felony gun charges on Tuesday in Miami.www.syracuse.com
Nunn at allthis story certainly doesn’t do Nunn any justice...however, it sounds like after he ran he became far more cooperative...
G Williams is good
Don't know any of the others so that's not promising
Maybe some lawyers or police officers on this board can speak to this but... If the car isn't his, and the gun wasn't concealed on him or even on his person at all.. how can a charge of him carrying a concealed weapon be brought? Wouldn't that fall on the driver and/or owner of the car as responsible party? Maybe the article is incomplete but odd there's no mention of the drivers name or charges being brought against them?
“Nunn told the officer the firearm was not his but that he had full knowledge of the firearm and was handling the gun inside the vehicle before the stop occurred, police said.”
Seems like he admitted he had the gun. Ownership has nothing to do with possession.
Remember kids, if you’re being questioned by the police shut yer yap.
Neil could use himself a fall-guy right about now.
State statues are obviously all written differently and I dont care enough to read through FLs right now but ones im familiar with, it being on the passenger side, him attempting to flee, and then admitting to handling (possessing) it is deffinietly enough to hook him on scene for possession of it. I dont think he could legally open carry in this case anyways.“Nunn told the officer the firearm was not his but that he had full knowledge of the firearm and was handling the gun inside the vehicle before the stop occurred, police said.”

1000% this... Remember that famous line "Anything you say can be used against you in the court of law" never for youRemember kids, if you’re being questioned by the police shut yer yap.
Actually after reading that article I think he probably gets off.
It is in this case. Pretty tough to be innocent of carrying a concealed firearm. May end up pleading a lesser charge but don't see a way that he's innocent unless he's being framed by the five 0.
You are required to have a CCW permit whether you are in a vehicle or not if the handgun is not in plain view, unless you are a LEO. Different states vary on CCW - Carrying a Concealed Weapon, but concealed on your person or underneath the seat don’t fly without a CCW permit. There are some places too where its legal to carry it but not when in a car..

Either the cop is lying or he has X-ray vision. Able to observe the butt upon approach, yet it was "completely concealed from ordinary sight". Either it wasn't concealed, which is how he saw it, or it was concealed and it was an illegal search. Judge should dismiss on motion.
Poor wording in the charging doc but I'd be suprised for it to be dismissed IMO.Either the cop is lying or he has X-ray vision.
