Allow me to take a second to defend Doug Pederson.

Oh, wait, I can't. I get the back-and-forth, but the players wanted to win that game and played like it.

Pederson had other ideas.

I don’t blame Pederson for wanting to lose but the only issue I have is how blatantly disrespected his players who played hard and put their bodies on the line.

Players shouldn’t care what he says anymore.
There has to be something the NFL can do in the future.
The Philly coach wanted to lose. Maybe the draft order is determined from the first 15 games or something. So losing the last week doesn’t help teams.
It’s not about the Giants at all.

Pederson was just following orders from on high so it would be ironic if the people that gave those orders fired him. Everybody who follows the Eagles closely knows that wasn't his idea. Not defending him at all btw as he sacrificed his integrity in order to keep his job.

I have no problem with the Eagles tanking but do it subtly. Play as vanilla as possible on O and on D. They were beyond obvious though. As an Eagles player how can you be happy?

That is a complete violation of the integrity of the game. You have two teams who playoff spots are up for grabs. Deserve your best efforts to win the game in a situation like this.

If they left in Hurts and only ran the ball that is how they could have done it.
Or call a fake punt on your own side of the field like Mike McCarthy.

Pederson could have tanked that game in a way it wasn’t obvious.

When you put a guy on the field like the Eagles did that was physically unable to compete people can get hurt. Once that was apparent make the switch back at least. What they did last night was shameful.

That was bizarre, but it has nothing to do with the Giants, first of all the Giants were 6-10 they only have themselves to blame for not making the playoffs. I thought all week the Cowboys would win and be in the position and said I would have no problem with what the Eagles did because the Cowboys should have won more games. Hurts was 7/20 with an int, he wanted to give another qb a shot, that is his right to do, if the Cowboys needed Wash to lose I would say the same thing.

Eh yeah. That mindset can be basically used for any situation ever where teams don’t control their own destiny or need some help, which happens all the time. In this case, being 6-10 sure it’s makes more sense but also can still be frustrated how last night went. Only natural.

It's two weeks in a row. He gave it away vs Dallas too by just abandoning the run for no good reason. They had it won up 14-3 and the worst run D in the league couldn't stop them.

Yeah but with a whole lot of help from Philly who abandoned the run and never switched Mills to CB until game was essentially over. Philly didn't play the last 3 quarters like a team that gave a crap about winning that game.

I'm not saying they tanked even though it sounds it. Just that they were playing around in both games so thus NY fans being upset is pretty irrelevant. Philly has issues in general. WFT for that matter too. The NFC East was a walking injury tent all season. No team has really any reason to be upset with anyone but themselves.

I think people are skewing the line between not putting forth their best effort and trying to lose. Last night's game was a 3 point game until late into the 4th qtr. I have seen plenty of games like this that have ended 38-0.

I couldn’t care less about the “integrity of the game” argument from the Giants perspective. All I would say to anyone crying foul is: It Sucks to Suck.

I just think, from a team culture standpoint and valuing the individual, the Eagles blew it.

The Eagles coaches and front office most assuredly had to answer to one pissed off potential future-of-the-franchise quarterback & and a locker room full of disheartened competitors.

Doesn’t feel like the right way to build a winner.
