What would it cost us to land Brady on a 1 year deal to rehab his image a bit before he takes a head gig or jumps back to the pros? What do you think, $4 million?

He had millions before wanting to come here. Not sure why that would change anything.

I’m not Ed’s personal advocate, I’m just saying if you wanna turn our recruiting woes around he’s a realistic choice to do it.

Tom Brady is going to cost a lot more than 4 million.

Actually the highest paid coordinators get around 2-2.5mil a year. That’s probably what Brady would get at a big school. Sark was getting 2.5 at Bama. Venables getting 2.5 at Clemson.

IMO the FAU guy, Memphis guy, or UVA guy would give me hope for next season. A Dino tree guy wouldn't. I would expect more of the same. I think a B12 system guy would be a mistake. Different leagues.
 
While not as an OC would love to see ED hired as an offensive specialist, maybe work specifically with the Shredder, win win for all involved

I got nothing Syracuse related but I can say that there is a rumor that Venables is going to hire Jeff Lebby, the Ole Miss OC, as Oklahoma's new OC.

And there is another rumor that if this happens, Lane Kiffin will hire Kendall Briles as his OC at Ole Miss. Kiffen hired Briles as his OC at Florida Atlantic in 2017, when he was so toxic no other school in the country would touch him.

What makes you think he would be a good coach? I have nothing negative to say about ED - he's a legend in these parts - but there is no evidence to indicate he has an ability to be a good coach.
