Our worst enemy is our defense arguably not our opponents. While we have a short term cakewalk of games upcoming the rubber hits the road the last four. Offense alone ain’t going to get it done. Do we get Sy more minutes to shore up the wide open looks against the 3. My idol was Bill Russell - he sacrificed offense for defense. He laid it all on the line for the win. He got it! In the semi modern era defense still wins games and championships. Baylor, Duke et Al - they get it. This is all old news but I would get enthralled to see Syracuse sell out a lot of offense and make defense of more importance. And towards the end of the season it might just get us not only on the bubble but a legit shot at the dance. Very interested to hear your thoughts. Is it too late? Have we peaked defensively?
