Looking for 55” -65” Flat screen looking for bargain price wit at least decent quality. Yes for watching SU hoops and football ( I’m usually at every home game and a couple away but I retired from coaching so will be at even more away) Any insights.

Facebook market place
Thanks yea I know there are other sources and If this was during season or during signing week I wouldn’t take the space up. Admin. Feel free to toss this to another board although I wasn’t sure where it fit

Honestly, I would just go to Best Buy, and do 18 month no-interest financing. For example, here's a 50" LG for $299.99. $16 per month -- psychologically it feels like you got the TV for free. TVs are just so cheap right now compared to a decade ago.

Would second Eric's comments. I have no idea of your price point, but it is easy to get a decent TV for $300-400, even at the larger size that you mention. You don't even have to get the cheapest models. There are probably good deals post-Christmas now too.

Agree 100%. I noticed that there was an LG 65 inch TV at target for $379 the other day.

I've been brainwashed into thinking Samsung is the only acceptable brand of TV to own, but I've never been able to tell the difference between "lesser" brands like Vizio, Insignia, etc. and Samsung/LG. They all look the same.

I have a TCL Roku TV that I got at Costco for dirt cheap and it always looks just fine. The built in Roku is really nifty.

Anyway, this popped up first page on Yahoo - Get $320 off this 65-inch 4K ultra HD Roku smart TV at Walmart right now

Heck, go through the message board to Amazon and find something.

just make sure its smart and has either roku or fire.

we dont want to read all any future posts complaining that you cant get a game. because its been moved to some easily available app...like others on here relentlessly complain about.

TCL makes GREAT, inexpensive TV’s w Roku built in.
They get fantastic reviews.

I just got their higher-zoot 55” 6 series TV for $550.
You can get a (still very good) 4K 4-series 55” from them for like $300.

We have purchased a couple of tvs at Costco. Good selection, real good prices.

Pay in cash. Don't play with snakes. Psychologically, you feel like you have no burden with something that is paid off.

That baby will have a spider crack in it before halftime of the Notre Dame game.
That was the alien STO a more grounded and sane STO killed the crazy STO. No more broken TVs

Full disclosure, I own an LG OLED - it is worth every penny, IMO.

With respect to what you are looking for, you can't really beat TCL:

TCL 55 inch 4K Smart LED Roku TV

EDIT: Get the biggest set you can afford, you won't regret it. 55 inch is the smallest you should go. Unless you are sitting very close to the set, it is probably too small.

Yeah, I think that 55 is the one I bought not too long ago. We've been very happy with it.

As others have said. The TCL TV's are a great buy. I have three all 55" with 4K and the Roku. Great picture. Not as solid to the Panasonic plasma that I have (Had calibrated as well) but a really solid picture for the price. A friend of mine just bought a $1K - 65" Samsung and when he comes over he says he should have gotten the TCL! I have not had to chat with customer service so I couldn't tell you anything in that regards.

Good inexpensive TCL smart TVs at Costco...

TCLs are very decent quality. The Samsung QLEDs are fantastic (just got a 75" 7 series). The OLEDs are a bit better with regards to blacks as the tech is a bit different but the QLEDs are better in well lit rooms. The Samsungs have Amazon, Netflix, the Internet (for reddit feeds), and Sling (which will get you the ACC Nets). No need for Roku or Firetv. I have a lot of love for the QLEDs. My last Samsung lasted 10 years and I still use it in another room.

Right now Samsung and LG are the clear leaders, but these things change quickly

Viewing distance is important. When I was doing the man cave I found this site (will post it if I can find it again) and they were discussing optimum viewing distance from your sitting point to the tv depending on screen size. How high the tv should sit off the ground depending on the size, etc...a few things to think on before pulling the trigger. Also cannot go wrong with the TLC roku units. Really good investment.

Tvs are such throw-aways now days. I don’t know if you can go wrong. I’ve had Sony, lg, magnavox, insignia, sceptre, vizio, doesn’t seem to matter to me. The thing to look out for is the amount of hdmi inputs. You see these smokin deals of Black Friday and some of them only have one or two hdmi. That don’t cut it now days.
