Post your parking selection day assignments here

So this is the very best that the friggin brain trust[at Syracuse University] could come up with. I've been a season ticket holder for 30 years and currently have a parking spot[15-20 yrs] over at South Manley and I am getting the feeling that I'm about to lose it.
Whom ever came up with this idea to screw the fans ought to be a shamed of themselves.

Isn't that what the "preferred seating donation" is about?

Correct me if I’m wrong but currently you can’t be displaced from your seats as long as you’re paying the required combined ticket and donation amount.

Imagine if every year dome seating was wide open and you got to pick based on your past year’s donation rank like they are doing with parking.

What internal purpose? What did I just pay $100 for?
Parking in a specified lot that you like for $16 a game in 2019. Feels like stealing

I had the same question going into this since Manley and SkyTop sell gameday parking passes and spots are first come first serve. I called my rep and this is what they told me (for SkyTop at least).

Parking at SkyTop is going up to $20 per game if you pay when you park. So in essence the season parking pass gets you a free game ($100 for season vs $120 for six individual games). I'm not sure what gameday parking costs at Manley but I'm assuming it's the same.

This - 100%. When the new dorm opened on the old bus/rv lot right there the very first game I remember security making some students move and a girl through an absolute hissy fit. After that I have never seen them move anyone or see students move their cars. There have been some games where I have gotten to the Fine Lot 4+ hours from kick and the lot is already half full and maybe 2 or 3 people are tailgaters/people with parking passes the rest are students and god knows who else. I understand SU's dilemma but if after going through all of this new parking process and pricing structure if people are getting shut out 2 hours before the game because the lot is full there gonna have an S storm rain down on them of biblical proportions.

I'm just an interested observer since I'm a long distance fan who can't attend games. I totally get why they are doing the parking this way and we're far from the only school who has implemented it.

But yeah, if you are going to sell the spots, they need to be available for game attendees. Hopefully, that's the case. It seems like the purchasing of the spots is going fairly smoothly for most people so far, so hopefully the SUAD stays on top of this.

since ive already been taken care of for a pass(thanks TexanMark and corpjet) , if someone lower than me wants something specific when i go live on june 6 pm me, it will be first come first serve basis, unless a fine mess tailgater lets me know before Wednesday if they want something specific if available

Was able to buy my lot pass for West. Here is a picture of the Raynor/Stadium and West Lot "seat maps", respectively, showing how many tickets are left as of the time of this post.

Only thing that confused me is that there are TWO West lots. The screen shot only shows one. I chose a spot in the one West lot — but is it Henry or Standart?

Me too, makes me think they are considering a pass for West good for either lot. I'm guessing this could cause some headaches for the Fine Mess crew from what I hear, but at least they are close together.

They redo the map every so often. I bought mine last Thursday morning and the map looked similar to that. I don’t think it represents what is left.

Both. Consider it one big lot.

Thats exactly what they are doing. It actually makes it easier for us because it creates more overall "west Passes" as most of the main guys who assist get there 3-4 hours + before kickoff so we don't have to worry about fine lot being full.

manley is season only for football but i think the float some special passes in there at times. Manley north has been maybe half full most of the time with a few games probably 3/4 full. manley south has been down to about 1/3 but some big games maybe 75% full.. it does make you wonder where all the cars come from on those days it fills up more.. there are kids who dont move cars parked in there all the time too before it opens for passes. i think some parents park in there so not sure how that works.

There are on most days are hundreds of free spots in those 2 lots so how much overflow from the Dome parking swaps and new people will there be too push people down all the way to skytop?

how long does this parking thing go on I am still 4 days out

130 lost spots is causing a whole lot of issues.

Ordinarily I'd suggest inviting Mike to a Fine Mess tailgate to thank him, but if he's the Mike I think he is...let's just say he's got a pretty sweet party going on up at Carnegie.
OttoMets are you covered for a pass? Pretty sure we are going to have a few extra now.

upperdeck if you want a Fine Lot pass I think we can get one for you.

I am good with Manley, easy in and out plus my family doesnt tailgate much so the couple board functions i make i just ride the bus over and walk down.

I don’t think you will have a problem in South Manley.

According to a person I spoke to at SU the issue has to do with the 150 parking spaces that were closed this season due to construction. The suite holders who lost their Zone A parking spaces moved to the Zone B lots like Women’s Building North, Women’s Building South, and Shaw which are within walking distance to the dome. As a result I lost my parking spot in Women’s Building North which I had for 25+ years but I am happy with my new parking space at Waverly. I am sure once the construction is complete I will not have a problem getting my parking space in Women’s Building North.
