Saint Dougie...

CLE 1991 6 10 0 .375 3rd in AFC Central – – – –
CLE 1992 7 9 0 .438 3rd in AFC Central – – – –
CLE 1993 7 9 0 .438 3rd in AFC Central – – – –
CLE 1994 11 5 0 .688 2nd in AFC Central 1 1 .500 Lost to Pittsburgh Steelers in AFC Divisional Game
CLE
1995 5 11 0 .313 4th in AFC Central – – – – That doesn't seem very successful to me.

As I recall the Browns mailed it after Model announced they were moving to Baltimore. I don't think anyone could have won with that team. The 1994 team had been a pretty strong one, their best in years.

More successful than Marrone was in Buffalo. Plus Belichick didn't run away when the going got tough.

4 out of 5 losing seasons. If you work at a place where your direct managers want to undermine you to make you look bad, you should find other employment.

Did you just claim that Dilfer was a serviceable QB? Check his career TD-Int ratio. Dilfer was trash and probably the worst QB in the history of the league to win a SB. Dilfer is the anti-Marino.

But in that playoff run he made the throws he needed to make. Bortles won't do that this playoffs.

More playoff appearances than Marrone had in Buffalo.

Ravens D gave up 1 offensive touchdown in that postseason and their D and special teams outscored everyone but Denver.

I could have played QB and the Ravens would have won that Super Bowl...

Dilfer had a couple nice throws in the SB but that was about it.

Belichick didn't quit the Browns. He was fired after five relatively successful years.
It wasn't that successful. He had one winning season with a cumulative record of 36-44. He lost more games in his last year than his first. He didn't have a career record above .500 until his 4th year with NE. Some people on here killed Marrone for being one game below .500 when he left Buffalo.

To be clear, I'm not saying he is better or even as good as the hoody, only that BB wasn't always the genius he's considered to be now and that DM is at the least a decent coach that gets more out of his players than other coaches seem to.

Taylor is fine. He has pretty good numbers considering he has an XFL wr corp

It'll be something if the bills, mularkey, and marrone all made the playoffs

Taylor's benched but sure, he's fine.

The Bills would be better off for his trade value to say he played through a brain injury last week.

Other than when he quit on the NY Jets - because he was anticipating a change in ownership.

Congrats to him today for squeaking by the 0-10 Browns.

Go Bills!!! Your boy McDermott rocks!

5 Ints in a half. Good decision there.

But of course a genius like you would rather have him. Par for the course with you.

Haha not sure what the Bills have to do with your Jags beating the Browns but I knew you would be posting about how great Dougie did today. No surprise here...

Marrone and Coughlin continue the turnaround in Jax.

Love it.
Marrone's playing with fire a little bit.

He does not want to go into next season with expectations. Expectations mean that people will be paying attention. When people pay attention, they question things. When Marrone gets questioned, he hates his life.

I'm trusting the process. I like that he's not afraid to take chances, at least.

I agree.

But whenever I see him play, Tyrod looks pretty good to me.

I'm not sure I would have made the move at 5-4 with a play-off berth still possible.

Either way, I like Sean McDermott a lot and think he'll succeed on the Niagara Frontier.

You know the relation. Doug leaves Buffalo after 9-7 season and Buffalo fans decide Doug sucks and Rex is their new savior. Rex craps the bed. Buffalo fans still feel the sting of being jilted and continue rhetoric that Doug is not a good coach. Even with no real QB to speak of, Doug is still winning in his first year as HC with the Jags. Jacksonville offense ranked 25th in scoring last year... 8th this year. 24th in points allowed last year, 1st this year. Things will look better when they get a QB.

He won't last. Dime a dozen defensive knucklehead who has no idea what to do on offense.

Stick taylor under center in a west coast offense and act surprised that it doesn't work. then put in a kid the whole world thinks might develop into a backup if he's lucky, put him in the game, tell him that taylor doesn't throw the ball into tight windows, then watch him have the worst game ever trying to chuck it up.

I think SU is better off with Babers but the Bills replaced Marrone with two really bad choices. I never expected McDermott to lose his mind like this
