I love the sound of this. And you know it's not a project AKA HW type because we can't afford to take two of them so it's gotta be a PG the staff trust can come in and play some good minutes right away

That list of HS players that are currently listed as 2017's is extremely short, IMO.

Trevon Duval - Not happening.
Tremont Waters - Not happening.

Who else is there? I'm not convinced.

yeah at this point it's hope for a grad xfer who can both contribute and blend in right away - or for the 2 Howards to surpise considerably...
not sure which of those hopes is more realistic.

When was the last unexpected/good surprise for Syracuse? Tyus, I guess, but even that was a rollercoaster. It'd be nice to see something out of the blue and stellar like "Mo Bamba back in play" on Monday, visits on Saturday, commits on Monday.

This is the type of thing that gets under my skin. I understand that you may have "connections" but YOU are not EA. Until any kid actually signs you are speculating... perhaps a more educated guess than most because of your connections, but still a guess. Just saying...

There are people that posted on this board that have stopped giving information because of people like jazz. I stopped for a while after getting thrashed because of the Hopkins information. you can only give the information that is correct at the time. and the thing is, Ayala still might come here, this year. The Coaches haven't given up on him. Ayala is loyal to a person he really shouldn't be at this time.

If he doesn't come now, he is clearly hoping for "bigger" offers. Someone needs to let him know, we are Syracuse, we are kind of a big deal. The opportunity in front of you is unlikely to be there next year at Syracuse or any other school.

especially once Duke, KU, or UK come sniffing around ... then again, that might be what he's hoping for.

I understand. It sucks that a few have to ruin it for the rest. So many of us really do appreciate any information. Even if it doesn't come to fruition, then us reasonable folk understand that it doesn't mean the info was wrong when given out. Regardless, thanks for giving me, and everyone here things to read, and dissect as we obsess over SU sports. Luckily, the Rangers have moved on to give me some solace.

Maybe, but it is how the opportunity is presented to him. He is a hot commodity for the class of 2017. He has the opportunity to play for a top program and immediately be in the rotation. Next year, the pool gets bigger and he may or may not get the offers he covets, and he may lose the opportunity he has right now. It is a gamble.
