So Babers is sold on Shrader?

Win the game with 2 amazing plays. Win the game by controlling 6 bad snaps. Win the game by making excellent reads on the RPO.
Win the game by being a leader.
Meh

He’s like #4 or 5 in line to get a game ball. Didn’t lose it and maybe that’s what we need from the position

I hope GS kills it vs. FSU. I just see it differently. I think we win by 21 tonight with TD. He would’ve placed the ball in tuckers belly the same amount and actually complete some downfield passes. Can you imagine? Lol
Just like he won against a worse team in Rutgers, you need to be realistic. We lost badly to a poor team, that's a fact. We managed to beat a fairly good team last night.

You missed the game if you didn't see the positive plays Shrader made. Tommy would have wilted under pressure. How the do we win by 21 with Tommy? We didn't leave 21 points on the field.
I would say though many of the plays Shrader had to make were caused by the play calling we had to use. But in any case do what you need to do to win.. start Shrader fine. If we end up at the half with no offense and losing switch it up. Much rather have a passer to go to then a guy who limits the offense even more in the bull pen.

Very glad to see Shrader play the whole game -- the only option is option at this point. No Tommy, no no no, never again.

O-line run blocking was pretty damn good in spots.

where has he ever shown to be a leader? Do leaders steal Touchdowns from the running back that got them into position in a blow out? That ball should have gone to Howard last game and everyone on the planet knows it. Just a completely selfish play by Shrader.
He doesnt make good reads in the RPO, but TD has all year.

Devito has two win. Would have 3 if not for dumb play calling and biased refs.

Ill give you the bad snaps. A few of those probably make it over TD's head.

At this point people are blaming TD for bad play calling, stupid penalties, and zero offensive line play and advocating for a selfish indusial that cant throw the ball past the line of scrimmage. If that's what people want put Abdul Adams as the QB and have to upper level running backs on the field.

I want to be optimistic, but he's got to throw the ball a whole lot better than that if we are planning to win literally any more games this season.
No its not true. We played one of the best teams on our schedule and beat them. Could have beat them by another score. What makes your statement true?

Who did we lose badly to?

Will all due respect, and I'm certainly not looking to pick a fight, but I got the joke (actually, I'll go back and give it a like because it is funny), it's just that it felt jarring amongst all the football talk and for the moment...I just want to enjoy our football team's win.

Listen i get your passion for Tommy your related its fine we all want him to do well but he is going to have to prove that he is a winner. Not a good passer or great teamate but a kid that finds a way to win. So far not so good. Excuses or not he simply has not won.

I am not related to Tommy, Ive never even met the kid.
Shrader neither won or loss this game. He had a few good runs, and saved a few terrible stops that TD most likely would have not been able too. I wish the kid the best, but at some point he needs to hit a pass beyond the line of scrimmage, and consistently be in the area code or the WR's.

The game was won because of Tucker, Not committing a ridiculous amount of penalties, and Freeze being an idiot.

I think the line looked better when the snap didn't hit the new roof. I doubt that's a coincidence, have to assume they all prefer gs

Isn’t he rooming with Servais? If not Servais it’s one of the other OL

He also spent all summer hanging out and learning from the OL from everything I heard.

His INT to TD ratio is pretty high historically and he throws the ball away *too* much fir my liking

Yeah because normally when he throws it away he has a WR available he just missed seeing them down field.

And when he doesn’t have anyone open he tucks it and runs out of bounds for a 6yard loss

Tommy is terrible at in game situations.

heck of an arm, terrible gamer…unless youre talking Madden and then he’s great

The line struggles holding blocks in passing plays when they are deep routes and the receivers can’t get separation with any regularity. This team should not be throwing deep that often. This is a run first team, with screens and play action sprinkled in. So who cares if Tommy can throw a deep ball and GS doesn’t have the strongest arm. GS can improvise if no receiver is open because he is mobile. Tommy would be taking sacks if his first read isn’t open. I think Tommy can be good, but he needs to be playing on a team with a better line and better receivers.

He scored 2 out of our 3 TD’s last night. And saved multiple drives by responding well to blown snaps. Also that last run on 3rd and long to set up the FG to win the game. I’d say he’s a lot higher than #4 or 5.

If anyone says “we know we’re not winning with him” and fails to mention the worst OL in the P5 during his first two years, I tune the whole thing out

This OL and RB combo (along with the D) gives is a chance in every game. TD hasn’t thrown a lot of INT and this year has shown better pocket awareness and is running for a higher clip than the running QB. We can win with both and will probably need both.

I’m rooting for both.
Our OL was MUCH better in the last 3 games of 2019, and Welch somehow put up stats entirely comparable to DeVito. Take from that what you will.

When it comes to TD, the whole is less than the sun of its parts. I don’t know why, but it always has been.

Tommy has 14 runs this year, for 7.6 YPC

And if we do need to ever actually throw the ball, what better option off the bench than Tommy? i would love to run the full O, but I rather get to 6 Ws with a limited O than go 3-9 with the full one.

I don't think this will work, but it would be great if it could.

Never say never. Unless you perfer having no real chance to get quick scores when down

Really? Where would Liberty finish if they were in the ACC? Maybe middle of the standings?

Yeah, and on the deep balls, he was often 5 yards short on the throw. That ain't good. Those would have been interceptions on another night.

GS HAS to get better at this…but I’ll take GS for now as the team seems to move more in this offense with him in there.

I hate Gilbert’s offense tho. Just not very good
