To understand my perspective on this, you have to know my life story a little bit. For much of my life, my dad has been a very negative person. Not intentionally, but he just couldn't help himself to find something to worry or criticize in almost every situation. It wasn't until my mom forced him to get counseling that it finally got better.

To tie this back the thread, sure Fran might leave. Hopefully he agrees with me that the NE is the best fit for his success. But I'm going to enjoy every minute of it while I can and not worry until I have something to worry about. This season has been too fun to not enjoy it for awhile

If he stays on the path he's on now, we're going to put a statue of him in the quad some time after he retires. Jim Boeheim Way will eventually intersect Fran Brown Blvd.

Yeah, sure, he really could get an SEC HC job tomorrow. Maybe even one that pays more. But he'd drop the trajectory he's on, abandon the region that he knows/loves/empowers him, and might just be trading that statue job for one that ruthlessly spits him out after something out of his control happens.

Not a matter of 'if', but 'when' & 'what' scenario he views as an upgrade. & 'will' he leave the program in a good state or in shambles?

Don't forget this was a lightning a bottle season. Not gonna be another McCord falling in our lap. 2 plays away from 11-1. A ST coach away from 11-1. Next year, 6+ & competitive games would be awesome.
