This is a fact.

The schools involved would know of his problem if he had one. It wouldn't seem that they would be waiting for his answer if he wasn't able to play.

Probably true about them knowing if there was an issue. But what would not waiting for an answer look like? Basically the schools have to stand mute and wait at this point. If they decided not to wait, it wouldn't look any different to us.

Watching the clip again that Dave posted reminds me how much I like how he plays angry. I like some attitude on the court rather than being passive - it's infectious. Rak always looked like he was going to kill someone out there (at least his senior year). Also, guys like Hart and Devo come to mind. His handle also looks solid, especially for such a big guy.

Dale Shackleford was like that. Ordinary player until he was pissed off.

In my opinion John Wallace was the best pissed off player I ever saw. As soon as someone started chirping it was like a light bulb went off in his head and he'd score 4 straight on you. He almost willed an entire team to a National Championship. The things he did his Senior year were only trumped by Melo.

I think MSU has taken itself out of the running.
They like him but not willing to hang in there any longer.
Just some rumors floating around E.L.
What does it mean that they are "not willing to hang in there any longer"?
Are they going after someone else?
Or are they just going to go into the season with the current roster and commits?
To me, that makes no sense. You have a kid that you thought could help your team, you recruited him, now you are going to stop because he is taking his time? There is no downside in keeping the door open.

They can use the opening for the following year. They got in late so it's not like a lot was invested.

He's a good player but not a game changer.

They may feel it's not worth dealing with "whatever" the home situation.
Dealing with Josh Jackson's recruitment was enough

John Wallace is so close to being my all-time favorite player. But Carmelo's donation to the Melo center tipped the scale for me. I think what Carmelo has done for the program cannot be measured.
