I might have to make a list of Tommy haters so if he comes back next season and balls I can have some fun

I don’t hate on Tommy or any other player. I’m grateful for what they do, especially this year and giving us a distraction from everything else going on. It would suck not to have college football.

But stating facts isn’t hating. Tommy gets sacked more than Rex or JM. Those are facts.

Tommy’s Dad comes here and trashes his sons teammates to make him look better. Fact. Everybody knows Tommy fought through pain and injury last year and still gutted it out.

It was truly admirable. But so is having Servais doing the same thing this year and Chris Elmore playing wayyy out of position. Shoot he’d play trombone in the school band if we needed him too. Football is a team sport

I hope Tommy gets healthy and improves and is primed to have a big senior season, the freshmen keep developing, AND we land a transfer that can play.

Would be nice to have a few QBs who can play, given that I can’t remember the last time we had a starter take every important snap. Maybe Nassib’s senior year?

We need depth.

It’s funny how quickly your fortunes can change when you’re talking about depth in CFB. It wasn’t that long ago that we felt great because we had Dungey/Devito/Amie/Welch/Culpepper. That was more quality depth than we had had in 25 years.

Just to be clear Morgan has one start and got sacked four times against BC, not exactly a defensive powerhouse. Be careful who everyone anoints as a savior. The jury is still out until the offensive line is actually an offensive line and Gilbert/Babers start calling plays that actually play to the strengths of the personnel they have. Until that happens, it's going to continue to be ugly.

Want to DeVito to come back win the job behind a solid line and good experienced RBs. I think our WR, TW positions are going to be very good next year (move Rex for good, lol). But, want some serious QB competition with all the Frosh and throw duel threat transfer to mix things up. Would like to see that depth . And just for the board move summers to TE

The first 2 games we had an open gate then the line got it together somewhat and the sacks went down . Yes other QBs got rid of the ball to the other team . That’s what happens when you just throw it to avoid pressure or a sack or a simpler shorter passing game to help the young guys that’s why sacks went out . So there you go schooled again . On line schooled just like the kids .

I truly believe TD wont become the QB he's capable of until he competes against someone that is just as good as him. Btw. Im sure Rex will take his degree and move on after this season.

Sour grapes ? I haven’t been commenting on this trash because it’s cluelessness. The NC state game was Tommy’s first game after the cracked rib cartilage ( first time I’m detailing the actual injury ) it’s a very rare injury it’s the part where the rib attaches it’s allows for expansion anytime you breath or move this cartlidge expands . The slightest movement he saw stars ! His exact words ! Kid had to take huge needles directly into his ribs to play. They had to hold his hand ! To practice and let alone on game day . The injury was so rare only 3 NFL players ever had it and the all went on injured reserve! Not my son ! Toughest kid you will find ! So that was the first game and the needle didn’t take effect until the 2nd half so he just went down at any sign of trouble and he still got hit ! After that they gave him the shots earlier and it was a little better. If anybody has had a rib injury they know you fear coughing let alone playing power 5 Qb and behind the worst line in the country no less . So now u know. I’m not mad at you I’m not mad at any of you because you have zero idea about anything especially the Qb position. That’s what he dealt with a injury so rare , so painful and for what to hear crap like this ? Let’s delve into this year . First 2 games 2 very good teams we trot out 2 guards who never played with us . An unproven rb who probably gets moved to the slot , 2 new WRs with no experience, covid ( yes other teams have that) first games for the OC , we drops all over and pass interferences not called . Tommy in those 2 Games picked up 5 first downs with his legs yes now you know he can run ( could not last year with injury) so all that and it Tommys fault again ?? Lol
His last two games the line improved, still drops , tucker emerged and Tommy played well and than wham broken ankle . It’s a shame coach , agents , scouts all know he is going to the nfl sooner or later but go ahead live in your delusional thoughts because they just aren’t true . Good news Tommy got the boot off and is walking problem free . Today’s my bday can’t wait for my presents but that’s a great present right there. Gritty performances let down by the passing game apart from Duke which is an outlier since we lost our QB.

I dont' think we are that bad.

I think the WRs are horrendous collectively I know we all want to be positive but the bigger guys are too stiff and unathletic they look like TEs and the smaller guys drop it alot and don't get much RAC. Taj is Taj same player he was 2 years ago.

Couldnt agree more. Competition is good. When Dungey was benched and Devito beat UNC, Dungey answered back by playing outstanding against NC state in the following game. He was nails for the rest of the season and I think the competition in the qb room is the reason why.

I don’t think a true freshman playing with a bunch of 3rd stringers SHOULD be winning a damn thing right now, we just hope he shows promise and he has

Rex was throwing picks. There’s no way you can say he’d have won had he played with any certainty.

I’m sure we’ll try to win, but I’m not all that concerned either way. Experience and growth - make the best of the freebie season.
