I’m not saying they are perfect. I just think instead of blaming them for certain weaknesses in each game. The coaches do not utilize their players as they should be in the correct spots. So to blame the qb’s being flawed.. I redirect my focus on the coach.

Shrader isn't a very good passer but he will get better. He hasn't played QB in over 2 years. He is new to the O new to the receivers. He is going to evolve. Kid adds some physicality to the team and is a cool leader.
As i posted before the season he turned heads this fall. Hes what we need this year.
Great first start. Actually one of the best 1st starting wins of any SU QB in a very long time.

He’s got some balls. He delivered and took some hits. he’s got some dungey in him. I think he can hit more of those throws with a little more time. He needs wide receivers who are big and will adjust. Can’t just run straight. Needs to improvise.

it was noticeable how the d had to honor and respect his running ability. There were times were guys could run free but they didn’t. They contained. With Tommy those are pressured and sacks. Honestly we need that.

Dinos call to start Schrader gave me some faith again in Dino. Schrader picking up 7-8 yards to set up that field goal is the kind of play that makes us understand why it has to be Schrader moving forward. It’s wasn’t pretty but the kid has guts.

That was a great read there. Everyone was keyed on tucker and he did a great job keeping it and getting important yards.

Incorrect. Under pressure he graded FAR better than Shrader. He got rocked just as he released that bomb to Alford last week.

Vs Albany Tommy posted an ELITE 90.4 grade. Garrett a failing 58.6. Thats why so few passes for Garrett. He's a runner. Passing without pressure is the problem.

I just think it’s absolutely bonkers to think a guy who can’t pass well and runs as much as he does will be healthy all year. Our history points to needing more that one QB.

I like Shrader and I’m for whomever can win us games. TD played well enough in 3 games to start this one. We have two flawed QBs and a great great RB. We are in a better position with that 3. That is good, no?

the only unknown is how much liberty backed off because of Shrader being a running threat. they loaded the box and run blitzed after our last TD and then we struggled the rest of the game because if we tried to pass we got behind the sticks.. Had we just completed 1-2 of the open passes its much different. You cant even run play action if they are coming with 6-7 guys.

the 2nd to last drive we tried a couple wrinklies and both times the WR missed blocks that broke well timed plays down.. It was a big issue all game on the drives we stalled missed blocks. dropped passes, or a penalty..

if we get the home run ball free we have to hit more than 1 for 10..
