UK vs UNC

I know where you are coming from but I've got to root for the ACC team, esepcially when they are the last one standing, especially against Coach Cal.

It's still not the same as rooting for Big East teams that are from our section of the country. Even after four seasons, I still feel like a guest in the ACC. But they are all we've got.

I see no value in rooting for conference affiliation, frankly. I don't see how UNC winning helps us indirectly--it doesn't. If anything, it just makes a conference foe even stronger.
To say nothing of our outsider status in our new conference.

Not to mention, UNC's academic malfeasance--not to mention, their fanbase's vociferous arrogant stance defending it--is something that NOBODY should support.

So to hell with UNC, even though I'm happy they sent UK packing.

Maybe but the game was allowed to be physical throughout. Two unbelievable shots by Monk. The shot by Maye was great also, to pull up in transition that midrange shot isn't easy to judge.

This I agree with 100%. I never understood it when I was told here that we should root for UConn to win a NC because it's good for us since they're in the BE. Nope, it was only good for UConn.
