UNLV Game - thoughts?

Just hoping to get some thoughts from some of you on the UNLV game. I've had a change in my life plans lately (my dad just passed) and I will be on the west coast the week prior to Oct 4. That being the case, I'm thinking about going on my own to Vegas, watching the game, and playing a couple rounds of golf before going to Palm Springs for a couple days.

So, a few questions I'm hoping I can get some help with...

1. I assume all of the tailgates are done, so is there any bar or other location that Cuse fans might hang out before the game?
2. Any suggestions on the best way to get a ticket? I found some tickets that are in the $150 range that are 7-8 rows up on the 40 yard line. It doesn't look like it's that difficult to get a ticket but just thought I'd ask before I grab one.
3. I assume that I should get a ticket on the visitor sideline? Is there a specific area where most cuse fans will sit?
4. Is anyone planning to play some golf the day or two after? I'm bringing my clubs. After Vegas, I'm heading to Palm Springs for a couple of days and will play there too. If anyone wants to join, just let me know.

Ahh man so sorry to hear.

Can't answer ya on the tailgate, but I imagine the Luxor and Mandalay bay bars and sportsbooks will be packed with Cuse fans before the game, and I know they will be after (I'll be the one in Orange trying to climb onto the craps table.

Here's the ticket link from TexanMark
UNLV Rebels vs. Syracuse University Special Ticket Offer
The $99 C132 section is where our group is. Row 18 is the bottom of our group, jump on in.

I'll let others chime in on the golf.

See ya when you get here!

The university is planning on doing a tailgate. It may the same one as the west coast alumni group. I am sure it will be posted somewhere. Not sure, but I have not noticed any link yet through SU to purchase tickets.

I have nothing to add on the game, but my condolences on your dad.

My condolences about your dad. I lost my mom a few months ago, so I get what you’re going through. Cuse fans will be streaming in starting on Thursday, I’d say. I don’t know if there’s any dedicated place on the strip as a Cuse location, but we’ll be loud, proud and Orange! I’m sure you won’t have any trouble running into some of us.

Condolences on your dad.

Cusetroop has good advice on tickets. I think storange and I are planning on playing a round or two while we are down there. No dates or courses set yet but if you want in, I am pretty sure you can play with us. If others on the board want to play, all are welcome. I have never played golf there and know nothing about where we should play.

It is clear we have a bunch of people who have spent a lot of time in Vegas. We welcome any suggestions on what courses to play, good deals for golf, etc,

Condolences. Weve all been/will be there. You are doing the best thing you can, line up the good things you like to do in life, and enjoy those times to their fullest. Keep looking forward.

Yep, I plan on making tee time reservations on my Golf Now App probably when we get inside a month to go. My plan is to try to find a good course for <= to 100.00. I hope to play 2 days , since I’m not much of a gambler. I get there on Wednesday but Syrfan hackers are welcome to join us. Planning on on taking my clubs with me on plane on way out but might ship home. Any input from anyone that has played there is welcome. A quick scan of my App tells me I should definitely be able to get under 100 for Greens Fees.
