We open as a 4 point underdog

Cunningham ran for 20 TDs our QB had a very bad end to the year. Surprised its not more with how the game against them went Vegas could give us 30 points.

Ugh the money I would make if I could bet our games, I’m pretty sure we were excellent against the spread last year

4-point dog, even if it's at home, is something we can work with.

They've won 7 of the last 8 meetings. The lone win being the year they won like 2 games. They've beat us by an average of 31 points in those 7 losses.
If this is true (which it is after looking it up), then we make Louisville look much better than they actually are in any given year. The fact of the matter is Louisville's record the last 8 seasons is:
6-7
4-7
8-5
2-10 (we won this year)
8-5
9-4
8-5
9-4

Mostly a middling team to better than average in most years. No way does that justify losing by an average of 31 points

Louisville will have to look at VA from last season to get any tape on our new scheme. I think Cunningham will give our D some fits but we will out score them.

4 pt home dog is Vegas saying we have no clue about this one. This to me is take the money line if you are inclined to bet Syracuse. Just feels off one way or the other

As mentioned above. Louisville has just dismantled us lately. There QB’s have made plays all over our defense. We can’t stop them. I hope it changes, but not the team I wanted to start the season against. They just seem to be our kryptonite. I say that because of the giant EGGS we have laid against them. They haven’t been that good the past several years and we have been blown out. Hope it changes this coming weekend.

There's always a team that has your number. Louisville has had Syracuse's. We seem to have Clemson's but we just can't seem to pull out the wins to end those games

Bet heavy on the Orange. Take the rest of the year off.

It really isnt about the Lou offense, its about the Lou Qbs making recovery plays that turn into scores and our offense sucking.

Even in 2020 they scored 30 it was 3-0 with 6 min to go in the half and we allowed 17 pts. Three of the scoring drives were in the 30 yd range.. Our offense was inept. The last 2 yrs 130 and 170 yds. You cant win games like that. Then 3 of the 4 yrs before that we had 300 yds of offense or less

If we suck as bad this year its gonna be bad again.

Yes. I think our inept offense against Louisville is more the reason for these lopsided losses for sure.

Our offense quickly exits the game and their offense stays on the field until chunk plays start to happen...and they are probably doing a lot of their work with a short field.

Shrader played injured against them last year and we got hammered ...again

2020 and 2021 were two completely different games with the same end result.

2020, we had Morgan playing QB as a true freshman. Never really had a chance. Eventually the D just wore down.

2021, on Lamar Jackson day, Louisville just came out throwing, big play after big play. Offense couldn't do anything, and by halftime, both teams had mailed it in. EDIT: Louisville's first 2 offensive plays were a 40 and 30 yard run. Then they opened it up to the air.

2022 won't resemble either game. If, for some reason it does, we need a team shrink or an exorcism before playing Louisville again because it's clearly mental.
