That’s the thing when dreaming on a roster/recruits. It’s all sunshine and daisies until the games start and then it’s the players fault for the team not performing up to the fantasy.

Yeah if you thought the talent was amazing before the season and expected this to be a tourney team either:

A) You were wrong about the talent or wrong trusting the coaching staff's word on the talent, which to be fair, there have been posters who absolutely have said as much

B) Red is not doing a good job

It can be a little of both for sure, but it can't be "Red is doing the best he can" now and "We have a bunch of talent" in the offseason.

Recruiting means absolutely nothing. If you are an A+ recruiter and D- head coach/manager, you will not win diddly.

For all of the suggestions that Boeheim was a 'roll the ball out' guy, he proved early on that he could win -- despite not winning the big one or losing games he probably should have won in the tournament.

This is CLEAR AS DAY. Can't get another year. I don't care who his recruiting class is.

I was an SU student from 86-90. I don't think I missed a single home game at the dome while I was on campus. The players we had back in the day, we were electric. Our style with Pearl and Sherman running the show was something to behold.

Where we are today as a program is embarrassing. This is unacceptable.

Yes, we do have some good recruits coming next year, but is that enough? Sorry AA, loved you as a player, but...

Normally I would agree but at a basic level, the players don't hustle and look puzzled at both ends of the floor. That to me is a coach that either doesn't know what to do or can't communicate effectively.

Red is a tremendous alum/player/asst coach but he cannot be the HC after this year.

He added multiple grad txfrs in the portal that were supposed to have major impacts and so far have been massive disappointments even if one was due to injury. It’s not the old days of team building. Red did an awful job in the portal this year especially at guard.

I know that isn't going to happen it needs to but it wont. I am more concerned with the offseason and keeping him next year. JW should already be reaching out to agents for next year.

Agree. Sometimes you can tell which leaders have it and which ones don't pretty quickly, and that doesn't just apply to the sports world.
