How can we compete with Wake Forrest? Their NIL resources are vast. Their facilities are NBA quality. I hear every player has a personal masseuse and pedicures on demand. I know things, insider things, and you guys have no idea how we can’t match up to Wake.

I suspect it’ll depend on whether our ACC season is merely bad, or truly catastrophic.

I think “merely bad” could be as lousy as 5-15. Then it’s a lot of talk about how there will be changes, Red knows what he has to do, great class coming in, etc. And he gets a third year.

If we’re looking at 4-16 or worse then maybe there will be a change.

Miami is 4-8 and their coach retired.

As I said earlier in one of these treads, if the over/under were 2.5 ACC wins, I'd take the under. To me that's how catastrophic this year has been and is trending to continue to be. And it looked that way right out of the gate (no pun intended about the 2nd game) in the first game against LeMoyne. And that was with JJ.

We are the 7th all time program in wins. The 7th all time winning FBS program* is Penn State. Would Penn State stand by their man in a losing season like the season ours is shaping up to be? There isn’t a historical precedent because their bad seasons are 7-5, but I tend to think they would not. While penn state has more money, we should freaking act like and set expectations in line with our historical stature and accomplishments.


Technically Yale is 7th in all time cfb wins but I omitted them for obvious reasons.
