I'm not disagreeing with him but I can see the media latching onto something like that and passing over all the other more salient points he made.

Those two lines of thought don't really line up to me.

It lines up perfectly with a two-bit hack or random idiot fan on a message board.
It is pretty unusual for someone in the public eye to not even be able to fake objectivity.

Tweeted that to him. Of course he would never acknowledge that POV, because he is the most smug, condescending man in sports "journalism," and his judgement on everything is clouded by his annoying and unprofessional love affair with all things Boston.

Coach Boeheim came out swinging, I liked our chances for reduced penalties but after today I am very confident. He had a solid rebuttal to every question, IMO. It also helps that people like Bilas, Calhoun, Vitale, and Coach K have publicly supported JB's stance that the penalties are very harsh. Way to go, Coach!

The media narrative is already written and nothing will ever change that.
Penn State had their penalties reduced and nobody gave a ****- the charges are what stay in people's minds and indeed, no reduction will remove the "Ped State" tag.
The uninformed media/haters/trolls don't care about details in situations like this. To them JB is a "cheater" and SU got off "lightly:...whatever that means. None of that scenario will change, whether we win the appeal or not.
