BTW, was just listening to Dave Meltzer. He said that Vince was freaking out about the ratings and the 'staleness' of the product, and demanded that the top 5 NXT wrestlers be brought up this Monday. The show was being rewritten as the show went on. He also said they have big plans for Lacey Evans as they think she can 'cross over' into the mainstream. She's apparently an ex-Marine and a mom.

No, they had the callups about a month ago. EC3, Lacey Evans, Heavy Machinery, and a couple more. But THIS Monday, or, more likely, over the weekend, Vince demanded that NXT's top guys (he probably didn't even know who they were) be called up. Which is why Ricochet, Tommaso Ciampa, Johnny Gargano, and Aliester Black appeared. And won, on both Monday and Tuesday. They're now listed on the main roster.

It's Vince. Both the falling ratings (and the possible fallout re that obscene Fox TV deal) and AEW have him rattled. It leads to hotshot booking, and stops/starts on pushes. I mean, we've recently seen Vince giving pushes to people who have asked for their releases b/c he doesn't want to be seen as weak by having wrestlers walk away. The other problem, especially as it applies to Raw, is three hours of TV to fill.

Crazy to think they never went with Hogan-Flair on PPV. the story I think is Vince promised Sid the mania main event to get him to jump from WCW. But man, Hogan and Flair at mania seems like a no brainer

I remember that time and era. I was ‘out of wrestling’ then, but had friends who were still into it. I remember asking about who was bi g and who was headlining Mania, could never figure out why it wasn’t Hulk v Flair, but shortly after the whole WCW thing happened and I think Vince was ok to let them go, so he didn’t want to happen, what eventually happened to Hart.

That was the way I remembered it from when I got back into during the Attitude era.

I hope you didn't write that Lesnar-Rollins WM match onto the card in pen. Roman Reigns is appearing on Monday's Raw. If he's cleared to wrestle, not even WWE could louse up his face push this time.

No chance a boring Brock Lesnar will wrestle an obvious out of ring shape guy who literally fought cancer in Reigns.
I bet he will be a host or something like that.

Maybe. In fact, probably. But he just finished a movie, and he's also gonna be on Good Morning America the next day. And the WM card hardly looks like a finished product yet.

Absolutely classic, still remember watching it live, the audio went out for a bit when Austin ran over the wrong cable with the zamboni. I think it was cleaned up when they post it now though. When he leaps into the ring, jesus, what a moment.


In hindsight, couldve seen something was up when they didnt have the normal ramp for RAW like they did.

The dubbed in music makes every single New Jack segment completely worthless, on the network. Every Sandman entrance (which, let’s face it...were the best part of his matches) too.

Wish they’d pay up for the song rights and fix it.

The Reigns segment was awesome. (prob because it wasnt a segment and it was real) The Corbin interview was in such bad taste. The ronda promo was not so hot, she was tripping all over her words.

I mean, he is old- so there’s nothing unusual there. But he’s one of those guys who looked like he was the same age for about 25 years straight. It’s kinda striking when you see him on tv now.

I noticed the same thing. I don't watch Raw every week now but I happened to catch him this week and he looks every bit his age now.
