I think you are missing the point. Lets forget about the fact smart successful people always have choices (ND and villanova come to mind who did not have to follow SU exact path and did in fact have choices). But the whole point of this thread is discussing where we go from here. So my question...

Imo you are missing whats right in front of your face. Since move to ACC recruiting has been a whole new ballgame. SU has been like a fish out of water since going to ACC. Stewart is not a great sign. Neither is the fact that our last 2 best recruits (Battle, Baz) we had to steal both away from...

programs SU, Gtown, Uconn, StJohns, Seton Hall, Pitt. All to help a few football programs. Unavoidable? Maybe but still just unfortunate.

So you list 2 variables and admit 1 variable (aka Excuse) has passed. So if SU continues to struggle in ACC at what point do you admit maybe THE most important variable/excuse is being in ACC? Talk about times changing!

SU ran the same offense in 2010 an 2012, plenty of talent then. But the losses before FF exemplified the limitations of the offense imo. Ie yeah there were key guys lost in those years (AO, Fab, yada yada) but the defense wasnt a disappointment in the losses to Butler and OSU. It was the offense...

Not convinced we d be better off with Hop as succession plan. Maybe maybe not. I am more concerned that we supposedly had a succession plan only to learn we didnt at all. And how that effects our next supposed succession plan. Which obviously will be very critical as we navigate the shark...

You look at bigtime programs who have won a national championship like Villanova, Gtown, Ucon. A lotta different directions they can go after succession plan...

I wouldnt say he has to go, let him enjoy his last few years on his terms, hes earned it. But safe to say pretty sizable pressure on making the right pick on his successor!

Villanova doesnt have Dukes talent but has outperformed Duke the last two + seasons, for whatever thats worth. A lot of ways to get it done

When i read this forum i dont so much see fans freaking out over the microcosm of this season. I more see fans who fear bigger picture troublesome trends are setting in. Whats SUs record in all ACC games, including acc tourney games? One of the biggest questions for this program is whoever is coach 4-5 years from now: can they figure out life in the big bad acc for a program thats a complete outsider?? Hope the AD figures it out!
