Pinstripe, Bronx

The ACC may end up sending a team to the Military Bowl in Annapolis

There's also the Bad Boy Mowers Bowl (wherever that is)

Tier 2 bowl we aren't going there
...unless we fall apart. Don't get me wrong, I really don't think that we will, but I didn't think that we would the last 2 years.

Projections come out tomorrow. With a current ACC record of 3-2 I think they fall in the middle of the bowl pecking order. Sun Bowl, Music City Bowl or Pinstripe Bowl seems most likely with 4 games to play

Atlantic Coast Conference
2018: [4]
NOTE:
  • #1 College Football Playoff. ACC Champion (if not selected for the playoff) goes to either the Fiesta Bowl or the Peach Bowl.
  • #2 The Camping World Bowl versus Big 12
Tier #1 (selections made with schools, bowls, and conference office)
  • The Music City Bowl or the Gator Bowl versus SEC. From 2014–19, the Music City and Gator will each get ACC team three times. Gator has ACC priority this year, if both bowls desire ACC team, after Music City used ACC in 2014 and 2015.
  • The Belk Bowl versus SEC
  • The Hyundai Sun versus Pac-12 #5
  • The New Era Pinstripe Bowl versus Big Ten
Tier #2 (in selection order)
  • #7 The Military Bowl versus American
  • #8 The Independence Bowl versus SEC #9
  • #9 The Quick Lane Bowl versus Big Ten #8
  • #10 The Gasparilla Bowl versus American or the Heart of Dallas Bowl versus Big Ten
Conditional Secondary-Agreements
  • The Birmingham Bowl if either the American or SEC cannot fill their slots.

What bowls could be potential landing spots?

Too early to say.

Let's see how many wins we end up with, because that will be the barometer of where we land.

we likely go in the tier one bowls assuming we split at worst the last 4

Sun Bowl please, if I haven't mentioned this before!!

Our goal should be winning out and getting to the Camping World Bowl
Matt Park and Brian Higgins on radio broadcast both said Camping World had rep at game. Maybe to look at NCSU but we represented ourselves well. Bowls like teams with uptempo, fast offenses that score a lot of points. We fit that description.

Also need to make sure we are 2 wins above everyone in the ACC otherwise we will get screwed out of every bowl but the Pinstripe. Really the only bowl that will see us as "desirable" is the Pinstripe. Have to take the choice out of their hands. I want a bowl tie in against SEC or BIG10

Too early to say, in my opinion. SU has shown some pretty interesting talent, this year - especially when they have come back from a really disappointing Pitt loss. As green as Clemson was, in Death Valley, they were still a team to beat - now; even more so. (How ND is getting the megaphone is beyond me...) My guess is; two more wins and it's a different bowl picture - one where teams that are nipping at the heels of the biggies are getting the biggies' attention. I'd like to say something like Peach, or Astro-Blubonnet, but then again, I am senile.

If Clemson wins out and heads to the playoff and we win out as well, would we theoretically look at the Peach Bowl? How do they determine Peach if our champion goes to the playoff?
