Class of 2024 CG Boogie Fland (NY) Offered

Is 6'3" really tall?
I was just thinking this, wouldn’t that point toward at least a PF? “Really” Tall (6’10+) 5 stars for 24 include Airious Bailey (no su offer), Yves Missi (offered but committed to Baylor), Jon Bol (no su offer)

Adam is kind of short though so it’s possible 6’3 is a relative giant

Elliot still could’ve taken his offer. Remember, the player only had to represent his company, and didn’t have to play for Syracuse.

Yeah… sure…

Adam isn't a billionaire by being a moron.

I do recall that his offer stated that the athlete would have to represent his companies in the 315 & 716 areas.

So, while he doesn't specifically say "Syracuse and Rochester", and while technically a student-athlete
could theoretically take this deal, then play elsewhere -

given the requirement to be boots on the ground in 315 & 716 repping for Weitsman, it wouldn't be logistically possible for a dude who is say, playing for UNC, to also honor his contract for Weitsman's deal too.

That is exactly what I meant, thank you.

315 and 607 area codes! And this is all correct. Adam doesn't mention Syracuse or any other college teams to these recruits, and if they signed a NIL deal with him, they could play elsewhere. Logistically, though, if their NIL deal requires them to be doing charitable stuff consistently in CNY, it would be tough to play in Chapel Hill, for example.

SU has no other choice but make NIL part of their budget

… except for the fact that that is literally about the only thing against the rules.

The NIL $ CANNOT come directly from the school.

It CANNOT be construed as “pay-for-play”.

(Even though everybody winks and knows that’s exactly what it is)

Let’s be honest the NCAA has no say about anything that is happening right now. They are the biggest Jekyll and Hyde group going

Encourage major sponsors like JMA to step up

Each season someone will receive the Micron Million.
Governments pay people to do PSAs. It’s in the city and county’s economic best interest to have good sports teams at SU. Maybe they could budget a few thousand

Interesting interview with 15 Under Amour kids regarding NIL. It confirms #1 that the money is a given and has to be included as part of a kid's decision, but it's only a starting point. If the money is relatively even, coaching relationships and player development are the determining factors. It's too simplistic to think in today's market you can just "buy" talent since there is comparable $$ out there for the upper level player. No secrets in the recruiting world.

Look what happened to A&M this year. Greatest recruiting class ever. A string of top 5 and 10 classes and they were 5-7? I know basketball is different, but fit and playing style still matter.
