because they never draft a qb in the top 15 since Jim Kelly!

12 times they've been top 15. 0 QB

they are the dumbest team in the world

EJ was at 16 and they could've had him at 40

Thats because the Bills are usually drafting in the early teens or at 8 or 9, by then all the sure fire QB's are gone. The one year they had a top 3 pick there was only one consensus QB and he was already gone. I think they probably could have traded back a second time and then drafted Manuel but that was there guy and they wanted to be sure he would still be there.

Its not like the Bills have passed up all these great QB's in the first round that they should have drafted.

I would've settled for someone that's not terrible all those years. Ill check who the next qbs avail were

You're right, they should have just taken Manuel at #8 last year. Then you could at least say they never draft a qb in the Top 7.

Certainly they could have taken another shot at a QB maybe rolled the dice on a Rothelisberger or the kid in Seattle but they were trying to address other needs. I am not the biggest Manuel fan but he needs at least another season or two and then try for another QB in 2016.

Fellow Fins fan here. What do you think about Ja'Wuan? At the time, I was a little disappointed...thought it was a reach and the draft didn't really fall our way. I'm starting to come around though because he seems like a solid, durable player who we can plug right in. :noidea:

I dont love the pick, but we had to take that position. I would rather have him, then to have traded up and lost picks. Similar to the Watkins topic, if i was a Bills fan i would be livid that we gave up a 1st round pick for a WR (when there are MANY who could be better that they couldve picked had they not moved up).

In summary, i give it a B-.

Dolphins - lol. No wonder you're hating so hard...

LOL? Sadly for you, we have been the FAR superior franchise for well over a decade. Thats sad for you guys, since we have been bad. Buffalo is pretty much the laughing stock of the NFL. Sorry dude, its true.

And trust me, you will be very sad they gave away a #1 pick since its likely to be a top 5 pick next year. You will also cringe when Odell Beckham gets 1000 yds this year.

LOL the far superior franchise. Good one.

Superior how? Both teams have sucked for a couple decades now. And the Bills dominated the Dolphins in the Kelly-Marino years before that. The 70's were oh so long ago. Who is delusional now?

did we offer Mack?

No. Noone did. Mack is from Florida, not NY though.

Just like Eric Fisher last year, #1 overall and no other school offered him other than Central Michigan.

Hey we all cant have Nick Saban leave in the middle of the night, go 1-15, and then get involved in a bullying scandal.

The Jets - yech - Pryor will probably be OK, but I really wanted Cooks among those available at that spot. Also, Dennard was there. Of course, last year I wondered about Richardson & that sure worked out well. Hopefully, they can get a decent receiver in Round 2.
I don't disagree but there are tons of good receivers left. Two that i absolutely love may not be game breakers but Robinson from PSU and Mathews from Vandy are playmakers. And there's also Lee from USC. Pryor is a hitter.

they hope they get lucky with QBs. but they trade lots of picks to move up to get a sure thing WR. they have it completely backwards

plenty of years where they're high enough where you can move up if there's no QBs at where you're picking

I liked the Pryor pick for the Jets. I wonder if the Bills WR's and the fact Tom Brady is still in the East played into that pick. You guys already have a good defense and Geno/Vick has next to zero weapons and an average offensive line aside from Chris Johnson who has alot of tread on the tires and Eric Decker who is a solid #2 WR.
I am no guru on Pryor, but supposedly coverage is not his forte. That is why I say the pick is OK, but leaves me far from thrilled. The Jets really hurt themselves by not spending a few bucks on a CB in the off-season with all that cap room. I was tired of Revis's antics & didn't want him again, but Cromartie could have been brought back at a reasonable price.

My late round sleeper pick is Jalen Saunders of Okla. They are my second college football team, and living out West I get to see most of the Sooner games (and very few Cuse games) so I got to see him play a lot. Kid is undersized but he is a genuine jitterbug with great hands. I would love to see the Jets get him in the 5th round. If they are able to get a decent receiver in the second round - add in Johnson & Decker & if they are smart enough to grab Saunders late then you have a offense that at least has some explosiveness.

Geno got lot's of criticism last year, but what was he supposed to do - fling it to himself ??? Give Geno some weapons & then we can really judge what we got in him.

Well since you have obviously seen the future and are just relaying back to us what happened maybe I should just take a step back, Otherwise I hold to my belief that Watkins is the best WR in this class, and will have a career similar to Julio Jones if Manuel develops into a decent qb.

Isn't that what every team hopes when they choose a QB? Hell, the Jaguars picked their QB at #3 who wasn't any better than Manuel in college. Bortles could be great - or he could suck. It's all a total crapshoot. Even the "sure thing" Andrew Luck - Manuel had a better passer rating as a rookie than Luck did.

What have the fish done during the 14 years the bills have been the league's laughingstock you ask?

1 playoff win

107-117 record

awesome!

i swear to god i'm not saying this to weasel out about manuel. i think luck is overrated, i was guilty of it too. i wonder if stanfords offense held him back. i am shocked at how low his completion percentage is.

i think a team's nuts to take bortles over the other guys but especially at 3

i agree it's a crapshoot which is why i want to pick too many qbs rather than too few. keep drafting them. if manuel's good, cut/trade the new guy, and vice versa who cares. if it means we have too many qbs and too few dareuses and whitners, fine with me

Bills would have killed for that crappy record. They are the Houston Astros right now. Its tough. I dont blame you for deflecting the truth with pointless comebacks.

Ahh to be a Jills fan. No worries, they will be in Toronto or London or China soon and all your misery will be over.

too late. you guys just gave away for draft next year for a 6 foot WR. they grow on trees.
