Future Campus Framework Discussion

webster is the worst, it's the end of the earth, i avoid it at all costs, and i have no idea what to tell you
Don’t tell JarHeadJim ;)

This Penfield boy never had issues with Webster. Heck, a local cop from Webster recently let me off after seeing my SU related license plate.

FWIW, they have redesigned the pool area and it will be a 6 lane lap pool and remain ADA compliant.

Arch Pool
• We have continued to gather feedback from students, faculty and staff, with more than 1,000 interactions, including a campuswide forum.
• That feedback has led to a redesign of the pool. The updated pool design will include a six-lane lap pool for swimming and water activities, as well as a spa pool, and will better welcome those with disabilities.
• The lap pool will have a zero-depth, accessible entry and an ADA lift, both of which will be located at the north end.

To cover the increased cost, the dome roof will now remain a Teflon roof vs the hard cover one. ;)
So long as professors don’t have to walk an extra ten feet to do their laps

Valid point. But they are trying to exercise - which is a healthy activity to support. Also, it seems like quite a few students supported lap lanes - which is a relief. It means not all of them are content to sit around or party 24/7.

Be interesting to see the new design. The original (up-thread) was Bill Lumburgh all the way.

Webster, where life is worth living. I reside in Fairport so I tend to favor the east side of Rochester.
Of course. Demographics are tanked on the W side.

Just funnin'. I don't have a problem with more lap lanes, but I didn't like the way the professor implied her needs and that of about 1,000 people outweighed the design put forth to support a new culture, and a greater percentage of the student body. I find the premise that these modifications will impact the Dome renovations hilarious (as in... I get that its a joke and its a funny one). I will say that the best jokes have a tinge of truth.

Many will leave after Sunday. Grades have been submitted already for most. They're hanging around because of Commencement Weekend and the ceremonies around them.

Speaking of commencement, where are the kids going tonight? Chuck's was the going away party on Saturday and Sunday nights. Faegans isn't big and Lucy's (is it still open?) can't handle big crowds either.
