Game Day to UCF

Good. I'd prefer not having the extra distraction. Historically, we crap the bed when our games are really hyped up. The last time Gameday was at Syracuse game (Miami in '00 I believe) we got throttled. I don't care if there is 0 hype or coverage for this game, i just want the W.
Disagree...you embrace it. Gotta act like a Big Boy program and fan base

Yup, the same way Clemson took the term “Clemsoning” and buried it six feet deep. They may lose but it’s not often and certainly isn’t because they cracked from the pressure.

Also, come to think of it, I don’t recall a big game under DFB, when we had our starting QB available, (or a competent back up) in which we have not shown well.

The only thing that makes me feel good about this is the fact that the last two times SU was involved in GD resulted in scores of 0-59 and 0-62.

If we are ever on GD again, that will be a hot topic for filler.

Was he the one that would go crazy when we called them CFU?

I loved that. I still call them that.

Yessir he was.

The College Gameday crew keeps giving us no chance to win that game anyway.

A couple weeks ago they said the team with the best chance to beat Notre Dame left on their schedule was Florida State.

If we got extra coverage from them it would be mostly negative.

They charge you to walk downstates...your broke by the time you turn a corner

I lived there for years, onpy in the absolutely worst sitatuations would it take 2 hours to get to Yankee satdium from Central Park. Heck, if you're in North Central Park, you could walk to Yankee stadium in about an hour and a half.
Twas a joke.

We don’t need any more bulletin board material but nevertheless ESPN just handed us some!

I don't know if this is weird (common) or not, but when Herbie announced the game, he kept on referencing Orlando and not UCF or its campus -- could the Mouse be hosting from Disney World instead of UCF's commuter campus?

Chit decisions like this make me not even want CGD to come next year.
What crap from Herbstreit on announcing the decision. Screw them. He will take a dump on us next Saturday as well it’s so obvious.

I do buy the logic that UCF deserves some recognition for what they have done.
But the "one game that stands out" comment
C'mon Man!

TCU game was in arlington and gameday was on campus.. so not having it in the stadium not a big deal.. host in it central park that might be cool

The teams and matchup is desirable and easily the most significant game next weekend. yes, the tcu game was in Arlington and gameday on campus . SU is 3-4 hours from NYC. The gameday crew from just the thought of NYC, has wanted no part of it. after all these great CFB campuses and atmospheres and vibes all year; does anyone think this gameday crew and production wanted anything to do with the garbage and red tape involved with getting a crew into a city that couldn't care less about CFB. NYC doesn't deserve our awesome product. if this game is in south bend, its a no brainer.

UCF has a very nice campus. Ironically Disney is not technically in Orlando. UCF is though.

It’s largely shed the image of a commuter school.

Did not know that -- Thanks!

I welcome all of you UCF haters to google images of the campus. You’ll be pleasantly surprised.

Full disclosure, I’m a UCF alum. It is a large state school that has its share of easier degree paths, but there’s plenty of great degree programs (my degree was in the STEM area).

Lots of great advancements made by the university over the past twenty years. Google Bill Gates and UCF.
