I hope your coach will keep his cool at least til

I hope we are up 3 TDs and Shafer decides to try to punch it in instead of taking the FG and that Shafer stays calm and doesn't celebrate when we score the TD, but we both know at least one of those things won't happen.

Why is it that everytime I see an SU fan arguing with another fanbase on the FOOTBALL BOARD, we seem to always retort with basketball references?!?! This inferiority complex just pumps up other fan base's assertion that SU is a basketball school. Keep the basketball on the basketball board. SU has more than enough tradition to support itself in a football argument without bringing basketball into it.

Because they made the hoops reference first ... try reading the thread in its entirety. They specifically made the argument us beating them in football is like them beating us in hoops ... news flash we have great tradition in both which was my point .. not just one sport. Not really sure why that is hard to follow ...

In that situation, the victory formation on 4th down at the Clemson 1 yard line would be more appropriate.

They don't care. ... Very rarely do you see Basketball ahead of Football throughout the p5.

Keep bringing up Basketball, They don't give 2 craps about it.

Shafer and Dabo are good buddies I don't see him doing that ... honestly I think that is a water under the bridge type of thing.

I did read and apologize for only quoting your post. My post was meant for everyone bringing basketball into the arguments.

I don't see Clemson slipping back into mediocrity. They spend money, so they will always have top level coaches who will be able to bring in recruits. Their offensive coordinator makes as much as Scott Shafer.

I KNOW you don't understand that, my little tiger friend. That's why I tried to explain it to you in nice terms. EVERY team goes through ups and downs; however, teams like Clemson HISTORICALLY (we are talking over a hundred years here - use your calculator if needed) do more than others as does Syracuse. THERE - get it - NEITHER team is a powerhouse and NOTHING that you have done in the history of your program shows otherwise. For you to think against the grain is great as a fan but my main point is that you guys have not accomplished ANYTHING more than we have and in many cases LESS. THAT IS THE REALITY, CLEMSON FAN. You are allowing your current three year success to blind you from the truth and reality. If you STILL don't believe me, call me up in 5 years and I will be happy to give you a tiger hug because you will need one.

You did see that the guy you responded to's name was ORANGEPACE, right?!?!

He is an SU fan...just an FYI.

Research (at least 2 min), context and a little reading comprehension would be helpful...

I'm no Tiger fan at all. I'm an Orange STH. I was posting more from a position of the ACC needs Clemson to be good. Currently only FSU is pulling the conference up.

To all Clemson fans:

Shafer will be giving out complimentary groin kicks to all Clemson fans prior to the game. He will be wearing his new steel-toed boots. Just line up and get dropped!

Our 18 conference titles to your 5. our 1981 NC to your 1959...yes you make sense...not

when they invent a rhetorical word for ones team sucking in such a unique and consistent way you may want to rethink your strategy of coming over to another board to flame...

When was the last time we "Clemsoned"? If you say we have anytime recently you don't know the meaning of the word. The meaning of the word is that you lose to a team we supposed to beat...we haven't done that in a LONG time. We beat the weak now...just like we are going to do Saturday

Yes, you are right in that I thought he was a tiger fan by that ridiculous post. However, it doesn't matter as I stand by what I said. I comprehend what he said which is why I said what I did. I guess for me, unlike yourself, if I disagree, I will make my point. Therefore, take my post and insert your name for his because it is still the same. I'm not a homer... I'm a fan but not blind to reality which is why I also said I would rather be in their shoes than ours AT THE PRESENT TIME. However, historically, the two programs (if you take a few minutes to examine) are actually quite similar despite what the tiger fans would like you to believe.

Bottom line... Clemson is very overrated. They have been good the past three years but other than that, they have been on a roller coaster ride like most programs and have nothing more to show than that. I still like the 41-0 drubbing we gave them in the Gator Bowl. They are far from relevant like they think they are. I actually now live in South Carolina and no one, other than the dupes who where tiger paws on their shirts, take them seriously.

ummm, ok.....CLEMSONING, CLEMSONING, CLEMSONING...it just rolls of the tongue so nicely (and this Saturday we'll be helping to reinforce and remind of its meaning once again. I mean seriously your program is known for this man, come on now).

Your program is known for....oh that's right you are syracuse, people don't know you exist

Okay no one talked basketball until one of them brought it up we only responded to that comment. What about that do you not understand?

Producing the best RB and maybe football player of all time in Jim Brown. Followed by the first African American Heisman Trophy Winner in Ernie Davis.

We also have more NFL HoF'ers than all but 7 other schools.

Just because y'all don't know football history doesn't mean it doesn't exist.

By your definition, a certain Orange Bowl comes to mind, but there could be an even more recent example.

By common sense, this year's FSU game comes to mind. Clemson had that game in the bag until they Clemsoned it away.

here ya go, read the bottom of this guys post for a little information,
http://syracusefan.com/threads/my-take.81748/#post-1168314
Syracuse has more wins historically than Clemson, a better bowl record, a heisman winner and more. Clemson has better numbers in other areas but not by much.

I know you guys in the south don't take education seriously but come on this historical info is easy to find with a couple of clicks. You're Clemsoning here too.
