Syracuse has more wins historically than Clemson, a better bowl record, a heisman winner and more. Clemson has better numbers in other areas but not by much.

I know you guys in the south don't take education seriously but come on this historical info is easy to find with a couple of clicks. You're Clemsoning here too.

We also have far more NFL and college HOF members. Tom Coughlin will likely add to that list soon enough. The greatest player of all time in Jim Brown. And I don't recall any Hollywood movies about Clemson football.

I seem to remember a 70-33 Clemsoning against WVU a few years ago (2012), is that recent enough? In the Orange Bowl no less. Clemsoned in front of the nation...historic and something that everyone will remember. Good job!

Actually they did ... Longest Yard ... except they wanted a more family friendly film and replaced the Clemson Tigers with convicts instead.

I don't see Clemson slipping back into mediocrity. They spend money, so they will always have top level coaches who will be able to bring in recruits. Their offensive coordinator makes as much as Scott Shafer.

Success goes in cycles for every team and Clemson is currently on a high point... Clemson is very talented, especially on the defensive front this year. Clemson is more consistent with "successful" seasons in the last 25 years, but not overwhelmingly so. As recently as 2010 when SU was 8-5, Clemson was 6-7.

Clemson has 8 wins or more in a season 14 of last 25 seasons, and has had 10 or more wins 5 times (including the last 3 seasons in a row). Syracuse has 8 wins or more in 10 of last 25 seasons, and has had 10 or more wins 3 times.

Clemson has been below 0.500 in 4 of the last 25 seasons. SU has been below 0.500 in 7 of the last 25 seasons. Clemson's sub-0.500 seasons were spread out over that time period so they weren't so painful, while all 7 of SU's have been from 2002 until now.

Technically Boston College beat themselves last week with the dropped wheel route... not much to do with mighty Clemson.

Without football CU has about 20-30 ... SU has pulitzer prize winners and the cofounder of Intel for crying out loud. Not sure about those garbage payscale numbers but my salary has never been surveyed and I know I would provide a boost to those metrics. Its amazing that you guys still can't figure out one simple fact ... we have a smaller enrollment and we are a private institution yet we compete on a very high level with athletics an academics and have an alumni list looks like a DMV waiting line compared to your "storied" alums which is about as long as the line I just stood in at a Publix deli. The last Clemsoned was the 2012 Orange Bowl versus a West Virginia team 8-5 Syracuse had defeated in Morgantown. I thought WVU could compete with Clemson but 70-35 win was a joke. I rooted for Clemson in that game as I had been too the ACC Title game win over VPI and it was a joke performance by the Clemson D.
