Jawhar Jordan

Selected in the 6th Round by the Houston Texans.

I followed Mr. Jordan since he was a recruit wanting to come to Syracuse.

The ankle breaker had some school work to take care of back in NY

Finally he arrived at SU. I was so happy for some one so determined and with that speed couldn't wait for him to start. Things didn't work out for him and he transferred to Louisville where things did and now he's a Houston Texan.

So happy for you Jahwar I hope you stick and are fabulously successful.

Actually he went to Chandler High School in Arizona. That is where he had to fix the school work, but he actually did it with a remote junior college course. Family was planning to move back east. They moved here for the Chandler High school head coach who is a nationally known running backs specialist. That coach is now at ASU. Jawhar's sister is graduating from University of Arizona in a couple of weeks, so Jawhar's parents were planning to move back east. Hmmm. Maybe not so fast? I did have a text exchange with Jawhar's mom a little while ago, but kept it simple as I am sure they are busy celebrating and was surprised she responded so quickly to me.

Congrats to Jawhar and the family

He was so good last year I had no clue Ville had a second running back who was faster and of course got drafted earlier.

He lucked out when Jawhar got injured. Took advantage of a great opportunity.
Yeah backup at Wiscy for 4 seasons and then backed up Jawhar last year. Ran a great 40 at the combine. I typically know the ACC skill players that get drafted so it was just weird to have no idea this Guerendo dude even existed until I saw him on the board as a best available. Everytime I watched Louisville this year Jordan was going off.

Jawhar is in an OK spot as RB3 not many touches to be had after Pierce and Mixon but he'll make the roster and see snaps as 3rd back.

Did Jordan just have a bad combine? How did he only run a 4.56 40? Delone Carter ran a 4.54 when he came out.
