November is usually when you play conference opponents. Easy to rack up wins in September and October when you play nonconfrence opponents like the MAC and D1AA. We haven’t been close to good enough against peer schools.

Is there a yearly stat of games missed? If so, I doubt you can filter it by month.

Just seems we always rack up injuries late season but all teams do... This program hasn't had the depth it needs to stay competitive. Don't know if this is just confirmation bias or not but it just seems we always get hurt where we have the least amount of depth.

What makes you think he would be a good coach? I have nothing negative to say about ED - he's a legend in these parts - but there is no evidence to indicate he has an ability to be a good coach.

Not sure any of us know the answer to that but ED would have great value in his….

1. Knowledge of the game itself
2. Same QB style as GS (share similar experiences or what he would do in certain defensive looks)
3. Experience at the next level and has been in some solid QB rooms with both Joe Burrow and Baker Mayfield (both Heisman winners), I’m sure he took away some great points while sitting with them
4. Knowledge of Dino and his offensive tendencies
5. Love for the program

Again win win for all

And that is part of the problem. The only way SU is getting a good head coach is by catching lightning in a bottle. They won’t take a head coach with any baggage or come close to outbidding most P5 schools for a coach in demand.

The time to force a system chance was after 2020. If you are giving Dino a win or else ultimatum, you should give him a chance to succeed. A new system with next year's schedule is stacking things against Dino.

A guy that can fix Schrader is 1a, b, and c. If that happens the offense is pretty straight forward. Run power, rpo’s, and play action off of those.

if SU could have had just an below average pass game this season they win at least 8 games.

2016 0-4 avg score 23.75 - 52.5
2017 0-4 avg score 22.75 - 47.25 (progress !)
2018 3-1 avg score 35 - 26
2019 2-2 avg score 37.25 - 37.5 (same ppg as year before if do not count OT points).
2020 0-3 avg score 21 - 27.33
2021 0-3 avg score 11.33 - 37.67

2016, 2017, 2020 the O had the excuse of backup QBs. This year was embarrassing. Overall it really was the D those years that stunk it up.

Shrader is a backup QB, Syracuse just never had a real starter.

No - there are other ways. Moorehead just took the Akron job to be closer to family. Clawson just re-upped because he’s proud of building it into a winner and doesn’t want the SEC-circle of life. Leipold went to Kansas.

Without looking it up, I think Doug was OK in November. His first year prolly wasn't good but he upset ranked Rutgers in November in Dome and year 3 was bad (we went 0-5 after starting 5-2) but I'm thinking he was decent otherwise.
