OC Rumors

Not at all, suggested that awhile ago

Any clue if he has interest in a college job? He's been all NFL since he started coaching.

Bay area guy, goes to Miami for college, works in Buffalo. Give him a stop in Texas and the midwest and he's about covered it all.

I gotta feeling we get some news today on coaching front.

Last big push before early signing day, really need to have all hands on deck
Would be nice but I suspect something next week on the OC. I do not suspect anything on the wr or te front until after an oc is in place.
No matter who gets selected most of the board will probably be unhappy. My hope is that its an oc with a different style than DB so that they could incorporate concepts of both schemes. I’ll probably be one of the unhappy posters.

Think the coaches are trying to get some good players at the end but I do not feel they will take players that do not fit just to increase the size of the class before signing. They will still be evaluating taking players until the start of second semester and prior to the start of camp.

They may be waiting to announce the STC with the other hires so they must be coming soon or else wouldn't they just announce the STC separately.

Thoughts?

Lots of good players around this weekend.

We will fill out class after December signing period with those stuck in transfer limbo and JUCO / late high school signers

No cowboy boots please. Lets get someone with Floriday or east coast ties

What about Kendall Coleman as D line coach?
We're facing a complete turnover of the starting DL unit while also losing Harper to the portal, I think you need a guy with proven experience shaping and molding younger DL into players. Kendall's got some positives but he just doesn't have that experience or track record.

I was thinking maybe Kevin McGarry. He is currently our defensive analyst. He came from San Diego St where he coached with Tony White from 09-17.
McGarry has been a head coach, linebacker coach, special teams coach, recruiting coordinator, and everything in between.
Tony brought him in to help implement the 335 defense.

Of course. I assumed he was getting better. Who wouldn’t assume that.

Back to some sense of rationality, the original point was, why would someone assume SU’s passing game would not be better next year.
Oh I forgot, because no one develops, no one improves, no one gets healthy, and it feels better to piss and moan.
Has it been confirmed he had broken ribs? I assume it happened on the last play vs VT.

If true, why didn’t Dino play his 2nd string QB (Morgan)? Makes you wonder.

The internet said he did, so it must be true.

The internet also insisted that Dungey had THREE career ending concussions and he'd never play football again.

I don’t know. Someone here posted that they had it on good authority. I believe everything that suits my narrative. I think you only need to look at the games immediately following VT. The passing production just plummeted, even for a non-great passing offense. Couple this with apparent hesitation on GS’s part to run, and it seems logical.

So why didn’t he start Morgan? I don’t know. Maybe a 50% GS was still the better option, and HCDB knew each game was critical - possibly to save his job.

What makes you think he would be a good coach? I have nothing negative to say about ED - he's a legend in these parts - but there is no evidence to indicate he has an ability to be a good coach.

If we are basing his diagnosis on how he passed the ball in the last 3 games then I am confirming that he had a completely detached right rotator cuff and a compound fracture of the spinal cord.

Is it just me or does it seem like we only have about 4 assistant coaches out on the road recruiting? The only ones I've heard/seen are White, Swag Daddy, Achuff, Schmidt. I guess the good news is they only have about 10 commits to visit.

He threw the ball just fine against Pitt.

I was thinking the same thing. I have not heard a thing on West. I figured DB has Lynch sleeping in a tent outside La Quit Allen’s house until after he signs.

Yeah. Lynch is definitely camped out in south jersey

I’m kind of lost. Fishes and Loaves , transfer portal out , recruiting , portals in. It’s a enigma wrapped in a riddle wrapped in Joel’s socks.

I mean... he lost 3 of the 4 games after VT and still kept his job. I don’t think it was critical lol
